- Is the New York city boy Morales Extended Mix you refer to the same as the Morales Club Mix?
- Is the Drunk Hitmakers Extended the same as the Brasil Extended Mix?
- Is the Opportunities Original 12'' Mix the same as the Orignal Dance Mix (6:45) on the 12'' of the 2nd release of Opportunities?

Thanks again. Have spent far too long looking at this but I'm sure it'll be worth it!!
Yes, yes and yes! ;)
(I wrote from my memory, so please forgive some mistakes...the Morales is 'Club' Mix, the Oppotunities 12" name can change depending on the release, but you already know what we´re talking about...and the right name for the Drunk mix is 'Hitmakers Brazil Mix' or 'Hitmakers Brasil Extended Mix', and it runs for 5:07 (there is also an edit)

Yes, do that. It's easily the best mix that exists... far better than the 7" or album version.

I know you're going for the "proper" extended mix of songs, but this one's got to be replaced by the Shep Pettibone mix – Shirley? :)

EDIT: PS. Extended is a great title!

There are just too may mixes to choose from!

I could justify the choice based on it being the "proper" 12'', but in reality it's clinched by the fact that I don't have the Shep Pettibone mix and have spent far too much on old PSB 12 inches in the last week already!

Glad you like the title - I was rather pleased with it!

It's on the 'What have I done to deserve this?' 12", called something like the 'disco mix' – it's on the PopArtMix mix CD as well. Well worth a listen!

There are a further 2 Shep Pettibone remixes that were only on a USA 12" single...

Code: Select all

12": 1988 US (EMI; V-56080) ["Rent" ps on back]
CSS: 1988 US (EMI; 4V-56080) [in 7x31cm longbox]
CSS: 1988 US (EMI; 4V-56080) [no longbox]
   12": 1988 US (EMI; SPRO-04013/SPRO-04014) [promo]
8:28	What Have I Done To Deserve This? (shep pettibone remix)
7:17	What Have I Done To Deserve This? (dub)
7:06	Rent (extended mix) ["francois kevorkian mix"]
	  4:57	I Want A Dog

The 8:28 version from this US 12" is maybe the definitive version, a masterpiece, but talking about proper extendeds, the original choice by pjhewlett is the right move...
