Typical length for summer concerts

#1 Post by mik »

How long the recent concerts have been? Based on the set lists I have seen I presume around two hours plus opening act etc., so the concert may finish around 11 p.m.? I am wondering whether I have any chance of catching the midnight bus from Thetford to Cambridge tomorrow night.

At the London shows, PSB went on at about 9 both nights and were finished around 10.30. Lorraine were on for 1/2 an hour.

They were on for about 80 minutes in Liverpool. Client had a 30-minute set. I found the PSB show rather short, to be honest. This was possibly because there was no interval and the pace was relentlessly upbeat the whole way through. Despite playing six songs from Fundamental, I found the set list a little samey. My brain went into autopilot for the likes of West End Girls, Suburbia, Opportunities, and Always On My Mind. I think I'd live if I never heard those again live. This contributed to the feeling that the whole night passed too quickly without any great surprises. That said, the segment that begins with The Sodom and Gomorrah Show and concludes with Integral was a genuinely coruscating highlight.

Well Lorraine was on at 8 pm, played until 8.30. Then there was a 30 min break.

PSB came on at 9pm (just 5 minutes late surprisingly enough!) and finished at 10.30pm-ish.
