How rich are Neil & Chris?

#1 Post by kimphilby »

I remember years back (1994 I think) Select magazine, a good but no longer existing music monthly, published a league table of the richest 'indie/ alternative' stars (I know PSB are pop but they were always the pop it was ok for indie kids to like), and PSB were number 1 with around a £16million fortune, so £8mill each I guess.
Anyone any idea how much cash (real or invested) the guys have? Are they loaded do you reckon? They never make it into Sunday Times Rich List or anything like that but that is very dependent on how much cash you've made that year, and seeing as they haven't sold bucket loads of records for 10+ years they probably don't register.

Q published a list about 7 years ago, and they had PSB at having about £10m each.

"It´s fundamental that we do only exist in our own universe. When you like Pet Shop Boys, you are in our world. This is absolutely crucial to our entire outlook...what we do has an incredibly strong identity and applies only to us. It´s a case of not recognising the existence of anybody else!". Neil Tennant.
