To my shame

#1 Post by raggatwin »

Okay, i'll admit it! I bought the promo mixes of In Private in HMV on Friday. A thirty second soundclip on Juno or somewhere just dosen't give any indication of how bad these mixes are, particualry the club mix with it's vocoder effects and downright out of tuneness. Anyone else got any opinions of these mixes, anyone prepared to admit to having bought a copy?  ...truly awful, makes the KLF mix of 'it must be obvious sound like a masterpiece'.
Hello my name is Neil Tennant and I'm Chris Lowe and we're of the Pet Shop Boys.

The worst recordings EVER to be released with the name 'Pet Shop Boys' on it, are Tiga's remixes of Minimal. The word horrible doesn't even come close to express my feelings about those mixes.

Tomcraft's versions of In Private are pure bliss, compared to it. The Westbam remix of London suddenly sounds exciting, and the Junior Vasquez body dub of Yesterday When I Was Mad appears to be pure genius...

I purchased one. Played it and filed it away. There is a strong possibilty it may never see the light of day again

At the time, this mix was inspriational. I can see why some people might criticise it, however I love it! The Tomcraft mixes of Minimal are bad to say the least.
