But b-sides are all too scarce nowadays. Maybe after a drought of 4 years, we might get one *new* b-side

I think we demand too much regarding b-sides. We have been sppilt over the years. There have been a few shoddy ones. Thers been some average ones but no artist anywhere gets close to the quality we generally get. Alternative proved the class they had and the Bilingual era was my personal favourite. The b-sides were better than the singles.The resurrectionist was pure quality, so we cannot expect them to keep delivering b-sides, that could easily be singles in their own right.
