petshopboys.biz problems

#1 Post by Dipso »

Has anyone else had problems with this site? For a week now I have been trying to renew my fan club membership online, but to no avail. I fill in the initial address form, press "send" and absolutely nothing happens. When I clicked on one of the faq links I got a "file not found" error which made my computer hang. Gee, thanks.

I emailed the site administrators a week ago but - of course - have had no reply.

Brand new website - same old fan club nonsense. :(

Not sure, d'you think it might be a browser problem (or maybe your connection)? I used to have similar issues with IE.

If you're in the UK you could send a letter to renew in the meantime. I know, not ideal but...

Have you tried e-mailing Mike Hrano (sales@petshopboys.biz)? I had to update my address details recently and he got back to me really quickly.

Thanks for your replies.

That was the address I emailed but I haven't had a response after a week. I suppose Mike H could be on holiday or something, but still...

I'm not in the UK right now, but I do have a UK bank account so I might have to dig out my cheque book and go and queue in the post office. I suppose it could be a browser problem but I have never had any difficulties like this before, despite many an internet shopping spree. Hey ho! (I can also access the new psb site with no problems.)

Has anyone successfully renewed their membership online in the last week or so?

If you use Internet Explorer, you could try installing Mozilla Firefox and accessing it that way. Might make a difference. I started to use firefox after numerous sites wouldn't work properly on IE.

Dipso, souinds like you're having the same problem I did, and I think it's a pop-up blocker issue. Even if I turn off pop-up blocker I still cannot get the pop-up pages on this site to open. Try pressing "send" and holding down the Cntl key at the same time and the pop-up page should open. That worked for me anyway. Good luck!

I can access the site finally!
Arigato!

I don't need to renew my fan club membership online this time.
Arigato for your kindness, Dipso-chan!

You're more than welcome, Uki-chan. The only time I ever write cheques these days is for our fan club memberships!

I might give Firefox a whirl too. Thanks, Dave.

I am still yet to receive a response to my rather polite email to the petshopboys.biz site administrators, btw. It's no way to run a business. :naughty:
