I think it's fantastic that they are considered to be the headliners of the whole festival, and are the band to play out on the last night.
Great achievement considering the quality of the line-up.

You could probably pick up a weekend ticket from a tout but you'd have to pay through the nose for it.

Oh, by the way, hate to be pedantic but the Electric Picnic isn't in Dublin. It's in County Laois.

According to the Electric Picnic website, Basement Jaxx are headlining the main stage on Sunday night and PSB are on at the Electric Arena from 9:15 to 10:30

Jaysus, the last I heard, PSB were the headline act for Sunday night, playing from 11.30pm till 12.20am.

Must suss that out. If it's true, that's a big disappointment!

Actually, after sussing this out, I've changed my mind.

It's great that they're playing in the indoor arena and not the main stage, seeing as the rain has been bucketing down for the past few days and it's set to continue over the weekend.

Some good acts in the Electric Arena that day - the rapture, rufus, hot chip. I know where I'll be sticking.

For those of us preferring not to pay €175 for the privilege of watching Chris pretend to play the keyboard in a tent full of hippies, RTE 2fm radio will be covering the event live. It's available via the Web on www.2fm.ie

RTE 2 TV will also be covering the festival, though we're likely to see only a few songs given the paltry highlights show lined up for Sunday night.

Festivals suck.

Full of pretentious w*nkers. Where do these people come from? Walking around draped from head to toe in colourful hippie gear, thinking they are at Glastonbury in 1972 maaaaan. Where are all these hippie people every other day of the week? How come when I walk the streets of Ireland, I never see people dressed in these ridicolous costumes? Am I to seriously believe that these people are this "cool" all the time? That they climbed out of some massive time warp in west Dublin? No, I'm not fooled. These are the types who normally wear designer clobber paid for by mum and dad. Who went out and bought new 'hippy' gear and boots just for the weekend so they could fit in with the vibe, maaaan. Idiots.

And what's with the toilets? Full to the brim with crap they were. Literally. And they didn't need to be signposted, you could smell them from anywhere in the venue, and from anywhere in the county, in fact. How dare they expect people to use those after paying hundreds of euro for tickets.

As for the sleeping arrangements - oh, pitch a tent wherever you like! Next to the toilets, no problem. In the middle of the roadway there, no problem. At the back of an expensive 'Pod' 'pad' that someone has lashed out hundreds for, where you can shout and roar all night like the immature school kid that you are and keep everyone around you awake, and then, for a laugh, pour piss into the windows of aforementioned 'pod' 'pads' cause that's like, sooooo funny!!! No problem!!

And why the hell were they calling it 'electric' picnic when there were folk performers and acoustic guitars everywhere?

What a load of toss. I don't care if Neil Tennant himself does a private performance in my tent, I am NEVER, EVER again going to a festival.

Yeah, but at least the boys were brilliant, even though I think Neil mimed more than he normally does. Crowd was really good, way more enthusiastic than expected. Neil said crowd was 'f**king amazing' and that they would definately be back - le'ts just hope it's for their own tour
