Can you define "success" here?

it may be an oddity for now,but going by the flood of user remixes that resulted I would say its a pretty nice idea I hope they continue with as I know lots of people had a blast using it.

its a different mix from fundamental on the video, its sharper in places.
That's it, it's all over. We're out of here. What a Legacy! (c) Chris Lowe 2009

Well, the official U-Myx site wrote a piece of news, telling that it was one of the most succesful U-Myx acts, in both uploads & downloads.

What does that actually mean?

Let's get down to business here. This is a market commodity and U-MYX failed to help push Minimal beyond 19 in the charts. That's lower than many other PSB releases that didn't feature the software so it's difficult to say U-MYX had any sales impact at all. I'm not sure how that qualifies as "success."

Just empty PR puffery.

Lots of people have a blast piercing their own genitalia. That hardly means the new Pet Shop Boys single should come with a free Prince Albert.

This may be a U-Myx set for another Fundamental song, i doubt that is Minimal again. Well, thinking back about mix on limited vinyl, perhaps the Psychological U-Myx (or I'm with Stupid)?
If CD2 be (like Drunk and I Get Along singles) "live", Numb live footage from summer perfomances may appear on it.
I don't think we get "Making of Numb" on it, but who knows?
After all, it's may be just a photogallery. But i prefer something mentioned above.
"I think it’s an amazingly good album, I’ve got to be honest with you. It’s one of the albums I feel most proud of. But for people who don’t really know us, and have a sort of an idea about us, ‘Electric’ is more what the Pet Shop Boys are meant to be."
(Neil Tennant, speaking about "Elysium" on the eve of "Electric" release.)

Sales and Chart positions are two completely different things.

You could sell 10000 copies one week and get in the top 5, yet sell more the week after and struggle to get into top 10.

It all depends on what else is out that week!!

Any U-Myx of a PSB track would be cool. Not because of the limited mixing possibilities of U-Myx, but because it allows us to get acapella vocals and make our own remix productions :)

Well, should that be surprsing?  B-sides usually are - quite logically I'd say - non album tracks...

My UMT-X of Minimal unfortunately provides problems with Windows XP. I like the idea of this little software, tough.

Speaking of this - please forgive my little Off Topic here - does anyone know if Madonna's "Get Toghether" has been released anywhere/anyhow with the UMT-X software? I would **LOVE** to remix it !

Ciao!

Marco

EDIT: Oops, sorry it's U-myx, not UMT-X, hehe *blush*

I do not know about Madonna's single having the Umyx format, but it would be fun to remix yourself.

Yes, but obviously related. It's not like Minimal has been selling remarkably well or anything.
