Pet Shop Boys play hit packed Bestival set
And Lily Allen surprises the crowd
Pet Shop Boys brought the UK festival season round to its final lap in spectacular style at Bestival last night (September 9).
The dance pop legends headlined the Main Stage with a hit packed set at Robin Hill Park on the Isle of Wight, wowing the crowd with new tracks 'Psychological' and 'I'm With Stupid' alongside classics 'West End Girls' and 'It's A Sin'.
The show was the highlight of a colourful day which saw the entire festival don fancy dress for the Bestival's third annual grand parade.
Earlier on, a pink wigged Lily Allen surprised the crowd by bringing her little brother Alfie up onstage before playing the song she wrote in his honour.
Scissor Sisters headline Bestival tonight (September 10).

I'm sorry, but I do think it is rather fabulous that Scissor Sisters wore scary clown costumes.

TOUCHY NEIL TENNANT
Eva Simpson & Caroline Hedley
TOUCHY Neil Tennant threw a diva strop at Bestival that J.Lo would have been proud of.
As well as making flunkies tart up his security pass with a photo and fancy laminate, the Pet Shop Boy kicked everyone out of the backstage area so the band could have it to themselves.
Get him.

Yeah, I went. Great fun indeed, and a lot of people in the audience enjoying it. I guess it was the standard summer's set list (can't remember all of them).
I remember them play (not quite sure of the order, though):
God Willing
Psychological
Left To My Own Devices
Rent
Suburbia
Minimal
Shopping
I'm With Stupid
Where The Streets Have No Name (I Can't Take My Eyes Off You)
The Soddom And Gomorrah Show
Opportunities
Integral
Always On My Mind
----------
(Encore)
So Hard
It's A Sin
Go West
Can anyone remember the exact order these came in?
Cheers,
Andy

I went, got a great reception, heard lots of people talking over the next few days and majority loved it. We're not the only ones who like the boys! Sodom and Gomarrah Show went down brilliantly, one of the best!
Personally though I wanted to see a new set as I went to Tower of London. It helps not knowing what they are going to play.

First time I've seen them play this year - they were on top form!
I think Twizzle got all the tracks listed bar West End girls, which seems to have elements of the Shep Pettibone mix thrown in I notice. Chris seemed to enjoy the Morales mix of So Hard they did.
I have some pics to upload at some point.

Interviewer:
-What would you tell someone about yourself if you wanted to impress them?
Chris:
-I´ve got a 12-inch plonker.
