Scissor Sisters give song to PSBs

#1 Post by herts101 »

Interesting comment in the Times Online podcast where the Scissor Sisters say they sent a song to Neil & Chris called "Don't Make A Joke Of Me No More" during the making of Fundamental, but never heard back from them about it.

I loved the Scissors Flamboyant remixes so that would have been great.

You can hear the podcast at: http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/ ... 52,00.html
PSB talk is around 21m17sec

That's the most un-PSB title I've ever heard...

Hmmmm..... Maybe it´ll be a suprise b-side for Numb.
Interviewer:
-What would you tell someone about yourself if you wanted to impress them?

Chris:
-I´ve got a 12-inch plonker.

Jake Shears mentions the song in this interview too:

"Don't Make A Joke Of Me No More" reminds me of the phrase "I don't wanna feel this pain no more" in Numb. It's very un-PSB.

PSB would call such a song: "Don't Make A Joke Of Me Any More"

It's strange that straight people aren't as embarassed to like Scissor Sisters as the Pet Shop Boys. They don't have the same "OMG, GAY!" stigma for some reason.

Liking Pet Shop Boys or Scissor Sister has nothing to do with being gay or not. They simply make great music. It certainly is not a requirement to be gay if you like both bands.

Lets hope the boys never accept the song. I absolutely hate SS, for good reason too!

Hope you have a good time Trix, I'd love to go myself but can't make it unfortunately.

I hope that SS and PSB do a collaboration at some point. I didn't like SS at first but now I think they are just superb.
