Numb's quite good really

#1 Post by james23_uk »

Been listening to this track recently and it's really grown on me. I think what really grated and put me immediately off the song was the bit where Neil sings "wanna lose touch" etc over his own "I dont wanna feel this pain no more" etc. It's really horrible. However the live and single version does lots to overcome this with backing singers and in my opinion it's a great track.

Top 40 here we come! ;)

The best part of the song sounds twice in the single version, which I think it's a good thing (the bbc had the same idea).

PSB probably got that idea from the BBC.

The song sounds a lot better with a video, whereas Minimal sounded better without a video.

Hell, "Numb" is just a damn good song! With or without a video.

The 'Numb' video reminds me of the 'Battleship Potemkin' film. (Done in the same style).

!, to be fair, has always been on the money here. Numb is simply a great song and the subtly with which they have done it, has hit a few non-psb hearts, as well as solid hearts. so, bring it on. And the strings......

My 2 cents on Numb:

Like it or not, the PSB version of this tune sticks in your mind.

Numb, like West End girls, has a detached, ethereal, universal quality to it - so fans & the casual listener alike can relate ...

I like it - so there ...
I like it here ~~ wherever it is ...
