Hi Winters!

That is such great news! Thanks for the support! We just got offerd Thursday night at a local club, but we want Saturday - the night before the concert. We're still waiting to hear back from Sugar about Saturday and I have my fingers crossed.

Funnily enough we are planning to do I Feel Love in a PSB style for the show. Sarah McCollough from the Seattle Band The Fading Collection (http://www.thefadingcollection.com) is going to sing with me on it. She's also set to play Drunk with an acoustic guitar Neil-style! She's gorgeous and has a beautiful voice.

I'll keep news about our progress posted here, and hopefully we'll have a date set soon.

I have just been to the site and thought they sounded really good.

Like me, anyone who has tried, as a hobby, to re-create the PSB tracks in MIDI, will appreciate just how much time and effort goes into something like this.

Most people only have the MIDI on their sound cards or like me, have a little extra in the form of a XG device.

These guys have, as stated, spent hard earned cash on extra equipment to really try and create something enjoyable. Who cares if its not the real thing, they sound good, the music is the same style and if you, like me, want to get in on this sort of thing, you could actually talk to these guys.... Anyone spoken to Niel or Chris lately???

At Thetford, there was no real acknowledgement that the audience was there at all.

[quote="westendboys"]Hello PetHeads!

My band is called West End Boys. We are an Electro Pet Shop Cabaret based in Seattle, Washington. We are planning a very special night for Saturday November 4th, the day before the Pet Shop Boys arrive in Seattle. We'll be covering all the hits and have a few surprises too.

This is really cool..I am telling all of my buddies about this. We are huge electro fans! Favs..

Depeche Mode, PSB. Erasure, New Order Camoflage and Xymoxx to name a select few.

Thanks for the comments guys!

I just learned that tickets for the Seattle show will go onsale this Friday!! I'm so glad, relieved, and excited.

West End Boys play the previous day, on Saturday. We just secured a great venue. I'll make an official announcement about it soon with the show details.

Why so much negativity. Live and let live for god's sake !!! The guy simply wanted to inform fans of a concert that he gives nothing more. It sucks that I live in Montreal because I would love to see it. I would love to start a PSB tribute band but unfortunately, I can't sing a note and I can't play the synths but if I would do one, I would cover the songs that were more on the shadow and not the number one hits or singles. I also had another idea. To open a cafe PSB related cafe or restaurant called the Pet Shop Cafe or something like that and make menus PSB songs related and with PSB songs playing on the backgroud.

Re the band - not being able to sing or play hasn't stopped a number of people having a go!

The Cafe sounds a bit niche to me - although you could serve Tuna Park, I Want A Hot Dog and Philadelphia. Sorry, couldn't resist! :lol:

I got back from Seattle yesterday--was on the floor, front right hand side atthe concert Sunday night. Absolutely fantastic and superior than I ever expected--who else was there? and any links to reviews of that show?
