Love Me Tender

#1 Post by Actually »

Anyone knows of a way to get hold of Neil & Chris performing Always on my mind on the Elvis Presley tribute programme Love me tender?
Remember when Neil was walking down the smoke filled railway track ?

Yo, Mr. Dopeman, you think your slick;
Ya sold crack to my sister, and now she's sick.
But if she happens to die, because of your drug;
Im puttin' in your culo, a .38 slug!

Wow, I've never seenthat one. In this video, they looked a lot like Underworld circa 1987 back then.

Apparently the Pets were told not to wear black or leather by the programme's makers, so wore both. :)

Chris:
-I´ve got a 12-inch plonker.

This video is a real gem! I had never seen it before, but in some way I think it's better then the 'original' videoclip. It's nice and disco-y and looking very eighties. I wouldn't have minded them having this clip with some movie-footage instead.
Thanx for posting!

On the day this was recorded at the old Central TV studios in Nottingham, my friend and I hung around in the hope that we would catch a glimpse of the Pets. Sadly, the only popstar we saw was Dr Robert from the Blow Monkeys, which didn't mollify us particularly.

I have obviously matured emormously in the last 19 years then.
