Go west covered by Little Britain for comic relief ?

#1 Post by Chuiperdu »

I don't know if the cover of Go west with the lyrics...'I'm gay' is an excellent idea. I just hope this is a rumour..or that it really will be funnier and more subtle that what this concept emplies.

Oh lordy, give me strength! I hope this is a rumour... couldn't imagine anything worse. As if they're not pigeon-holed enough already!? :?

 Hilarious.
Interviewer:
-What would you tell someone about yourself if you wanted to impress them?

Chris:
-I´ve got a 12-inch plonker.

Perhaps Go West will finally be a number one. It does sound dreadful though. An original song might have been better.

Is this not just the song that Little Britain do as the finale of their current live show?

I googled for two minutes and found:
"The show ended with Daffyd Thomas who performed a cheesy pop track to the tune of the Pet Shop Boys', Go West."
from here.

My two cents: Big deal, so what?

It would be a better tribute from Walliams & Lucas to the PSB's if they covered a not-so succesful track like Flamboyant or Being Boring and took the track to the top. Man..Being Boring getting true chart and public recognition would be amazing. But it ain't gonna happen..

It's not a cover as such - more of a pastiche.

Lucas & Walliams were interviewed by Chris Moyles on Radio One this morning. They said they will put the track on iTunes in the next few months.

Btw, there are pictures of Neil at the opening night of the Little Britain London run on Getty Images.

I have just received the book Inside Little Britain. I opened the book at random and instantly saw story of David W, Chris and Dainton in a Manchester night club. I think I am going to enjoy this book. :P

In the tiny bit I have read so far, Chris accuses David Walliams at blowing kisses at Neil from the stage and also mentions that he has just met Peter Kay and really liked him.

*flicks through book excitedly looking for psb mentions*
