LITTLE BRITAIN...IM GAY

I just downloaded the track from iTunes, and it's very funny actually! If your already a fan of "Little Britain", then you will find it amusing and it's not to be taken too seriously of course! It is a proper studio recording of the song that they have performed on their 'live' tour, with a eurodancey beat behind it and a few sound effects here and there. I don't really see any similarites to "Go West", apart from at the end when a Go West-style maie choir repeatedly sing the line, "He's Gay!". The start of it is very slow and sounds a bit like "I Will Survive". I am guessing PSB (if they are involved) have produced the track, as it's a very similar idea to what they did with "Absolutely Fabulous". I don't know if it's for charity, maybe like Absolutely fabulous, it's for "Comic Relief"? Anyway, to sum up it's just a bit of fun and it did make me laugh, especially the line about Nigel Harman!
Not sure how well it will do though if it's only available on iTunes, without a proper CD single then it won't be a contender for the Xmas No.1 surely will it?

Well, I've just had a look at both the 'official' UK Top 75 Singles & Top 200 Download Charts on Yahoo!, and "I'm Gay" hasn't made it into either of them this week! I guess without a 'proper' CD release and only being available on iTunes at the moment, it was never going to be that massive. Also, like Wayne said on his commentary site, we still don't know what involvement PSB had in the track, as sadly download sites don't give you much information about the track aside from the Artist/Track Name.
Maybe there will be a full CD single release in the New Year, or sometime in 2007? Anyway, as for this year's Christmas No.1, I think Take That will probably stay at the top for another few weeks as they have both the No.1 single/album in the UK at the moment, and their comeback has been a massive success! I still wish PSB would release, "It Doesn't Often Snow At Christmas", at Xmas as I'm sure that would do well over the festive period, especially seeing as it's a very rare track by them and not yet available on any 'official' PSB CD's, except the free Xmas '97 fanclub CD. Oh well, maybe they'll release it next year hopefully!...

As crappy as the track is, I believe it is Pet Shop Boys produced or there will be a remix by Pet Shop Boys, hence it's in the Pet Shop Boys Discussion forum.Yisraelee wrote:Whats this got to do with the PSB?space boy 1 uk wrote:AVAILABLE KNOW ON I TUNES

Quite right. Little Britain is nothing more than a tragic camp duo endlessly recycling the same old shit to an increasingly disinterested audience. Completely different to our Boys!Yisraelee wrote:Whats this got to do with the PSB?space boy 1 uk wrote:AVAILABLE KNOW ON I TUNES

The Little Britain I'm Gay track has been released as a physical single in Australia. Does anyone know if this is the PSB mix?

I went looking for it in HMV the other day so I could check the credits to see if PSB were involved, but they didn't stock it! I haven't had a chance to check elsewhere yet, but will try tomorrow. It actually entered the physical singles chart at #36 this week, so someone must be selling it. It didn't make either the official top50 (digital + physical) or the digital download chart.Dipso wrote:The Little Britain I'm Gay track has been released as a physical single in Australia.
