Oh yes. The better team won. We had much of the game.

It was a brilliant day all round. What a fantastic way for us to mark the passing of Belle Vue. Very proud and happy.

Looking forward to Jan 1st and the first game in our new home. Should be another great day!

Oh, side note - if our game had been on last weekend and we had won it, by my maths we'd be in the play off places right now. We're really starting to look like the REAL Doncaster Rovers now.

League one is telling lies IMO. I have seen Forest 4 or 5 times this season and how they are top, i don't know. They look really poor.

I still think Crewe will reach the play offs. They just need to get a grip away from home. Bristol City look the best side in the division.

Not sure about Crewe to be honest or quite how Forest are top. Oldham, Blackpool and Doncaster are the 3 best sides in the division at the moment so all 3 should be pushing for the play-offs atleast come May and then you're looking at Forest, Scunthorpe, Tranmere, Bristol City and Swansea to compete as well. Should be interesting especially as we have the money now to push on and consolidate at the top of the division unlike the Mcmahon years where we fell apart.

They can both fight over it! Whenever Dave Penney got it Rovers fortunes always took a dip immediately thereafter! It's a curse!

6 pointer next match then Jon! Wouldn't like to call the result to be honest, it would be impossible to predict.

I know who Iwant to win it though! ;)

Birmingham 2 V QPR 1

We didn't score 3 or 4 goals today :eh:

If this League were a boxing match it would now be stopped & we would be declared the winner

Luton home on Fri night next (we don't ever win games on Sky) but if we do that's an 11 point lead on 2nd overnight :!:

Can you believe that with our (Birmingham) big lead Bruce still hasn't won Manager of the month this season :!: Now's there's the proof of a curse cos' had he won it we wouldn't have taken 34 points out of the last 39

I think we don't win it because they must take into account other factors. I think we are punished for having more money than the other teams so they don't rate us cos' of that.

We were a bit mediocre today to be honest so will need to improve for Saturday. I predict either a draw or narrow Pool win!

Never stopped Rovers, and they've had more money than most in L1 since they've been in it. Trust me, you don't want the award!

As they say 'we was lucky' with a 93rd min goal. Manager of the month for December then...here comes a bad January

Good win for Blackpool. Amazing your turn-around Jon, we used to turn you over regularly and you're looking good this season. I suspect a bit of a scrap is on for play off places later on in the season!

Yeah we dug in yesterday and thoroughly deserved the win. I thought you looked decent though and were one of the better teams to come to Bloomfield Road this season although you lacked a cutting edge up front. We dominated the 1st half although you had the better of the opening 20 mins of the 2nd half and looked solid defensively until a bit of magic from Hoolahan broke the deadlock. In the past we would have lost that game but the signings Grayson have made have been fantastic and we now have a backbone.
I'm quite surprised how things have turned around although we do have 4 of the best strikers in this division and Ian Evatt and Michael Jackson have been superb at the back. I think we still need a central midfielder to finally replace Richie Wellens and a new goalkeeper as Rhys Evans doesn't look too comfortable.
You'll be up there this season though and with Scunthorpe and Forest hardly being world beaters it's going to be a interesting few months ahead!
