Fascinating to hear that Neil played the cello for a few years at school, though he preferred to play the piano when given the chance.

I was struck that he chose the Ralph Vaughan Williams "Fantasia on a theme by Thomas Tallis" as the first classical work that deeply impressed him. Obviously it's a wonderful masterpiece, but the atmosphere of old-English cathedral and countryside is just so far from the typical contemporary urban mood of PSB. Just goes to show that an artist can be open to many influences I guess...

Now, what's the chance they can get Chris on D.I.D.?
You can fly away to the end of the world
but where does it get you to?

0% chance. I don´t think that´d be Chris´s cup of tea.
Interviewer:
-What would you tell someone about yourself if you wanted to impress them?

Chris:
-I´ve got a 12-inch plonker.

Nice choices - I expected something classical ...
and something like The Beatles as he had men-
tioned in that documentary that he and his bro
and sister have been 'obsessed' with them.

There'll be a special about the boys on the local
radio station at Wednesday this week as I have
heard in an announcement on the radio today ...
PSB in the 'Hall Of Fame' with about an hour of
info about their work, music etc.
Must be like the special they brought just before
their 'Nightlife' gig in Bremen. Just to let know in
this context ...

It's always good to hear him on the radio, even if the advance guesses here were so accurate that we almost didn't need to actually listen! When he started talking about Russia, I thought for a moment he was going to pick t.A.T.u.
