They do pretty much perform without gaps.stew-b wrote:yeah ive watched them but they obviuosly edit all the gaps etc, that mostly my concern,ie they arent just gonna stand there and sing for 2 hours,so how much waiting around is there?
That's very funny....and pretty much spot on! Clearly you are no virgin!jmh wrote:you can reasonably expect the following to happen:
- if there is a support act they will be rubbish
- if there is a dj instead of the support act, they will no doubt be playing music that gives your wife a headache. this will be your fault and you will suffer for it all the way through the show proper and on the long journey home.
- when the boys come on there will be an unfeasibly large scream from the crowd that borders on unhinged adoration. neil will bask in this as his due but chris won't even acknowledge it
- at some point early on in the show, your wife will ask you what it is that chris actually does. you will struggle to find an answer that satisfies her not unreasonable curiosity.
- your attention will be drawn to the hordes at the front who are desperately trying to get a reaction out of chris. they will fail.
- your wife will mention to you that that aren't as many 'gay' people at the gig as she expected, as after all the psb are a 'gay' band, aren't they?
- you will soon regret your decision to buy seats, and will look with jealous anger at the people dancing wildly in the standing area. your neighbours will have seemingly superglued their asses to their seats and you will discern from their demeanour that they are not going to dance. the people behind you will have looks on that dare you to leave your seat.
- at this point your favourite psb song will come on. f&ck it, you will think, and as you get up to dance, a steward will immediately tell you to sit down.
- during the interval the bar will be crowded and you will be sadly forced to abadon any hope of getting a drink.
- there will be huge queues for the toilets, although queues for the ladies will be comparatively shorter. in the mens toilets there will be long queues for the stalls, and when occupants finish their business in the stalls they will not flush, as they will in the most part have ingested, not expelled.
- your anger at the dancing hordes will not have abated. and even your wife will want to dance, but the stewards will have you marked as a troublemaker and will pounce on you the moment you get up. loud tuts will be heard from seats behind you.
- during a slow song you will nip out from the seats and see if there is a way to bunk into the standing area. there won't be.
- during the encore, the miserabilists around you will finally get up, but only to get their coats so they can leave before the end and avoid the rush for a taxi. you will probably trip one up.
other than that, you'll have a great time,
