Tracy Thorn thanks Neil

#1 Post by Almelo »

Tracy's new album "Out of the woods" (wich is superb!) comes with a little nice surprise at the last page of the booklet: she thanks Neil Tennant... for what? Secret help, backing vocals or (secretly) co-producing her album? Hmmmz... do you know why?

I read in another post from an interview that he ran into her at a party and asked why she was'nt writing and recording, and apparently this motivated her to write this new album.

Maybe that is why she is giving him credit?

Yeah, there was an interview with her in the Metro newspaper this week and she said something about Neil telling her that she should still be recording and she should make an album. I agree it's a great album, by the way!

It was cut from the album but should hopefully be a b-side at some point. Personally, I can't wait to hear it.

That's interesting, about the Neil connection. The new album does remind me a lot of 80's PSB.

As for "King's Cross:"

'Also a cover of King's Cross by the Pet Shop Boys, which isn't on the actual album (had too many songs!), but will be available as a bonus track somewhere, and downloadable from iTunes.'
