April listening thread

The new Manic Street Preachers album 'Send In The Tigers' - sounds good on first listen

Just been giving that a listen today, slightly disappointing that they've gone back to their roots after Lifeblood as its a fairly straight-forward rock album but on the surface sounds quite good without scaling the heights of Everything Must Go. Stand-outs so far are I'm Just a Patsy, Autumnsong and The Second Great Depression.

Also playing Real Girl and Out of Control by Mutya Beuna. Not a huge fan but these are two fantastic pop records.

I completely agree- I think Lifeblood is amongst their best work but it sold abysmally – strangely enough at around the same time, Bloc Party and Editors sold tons of their debut albums which was exactly the same sound.
I do like the pop-sounding Manics though..

Some Dutch techno by Maarten Van Der Vleuten that I was recommended. Nice old skool beats.
