I heard the Belgian song a few times now and it's easily one of the best contestants this year. However, that's absolutely no guarantee for success. Last year, the song from Kate Ryan was also great, but flopped.
The Dutch entry, Edsilia Rombley (who ended up 4th in 1998) also has a good song. I think the Netherlands can get through the semi-finals, as well as Belgium. But I really don't dare to bet any money on it. Both of us don't really have that many neighbours that will vote for us, if you know what I mean.
My tip for Eurovison winner is France, by the way. Great song. It immediately places itself in your head and it won't leave anymore.

They are supporting songs, but it is easier to just name the country rather than the song.
Personally, I'll be doing what I do every year, and that is laugh at how badly the UK does.
Listened to it for 10 seconds, and decided I never want to hear it again. It's more of the same trash that has ruined Eurovision the past 3-4 years. That said, I'm sure that this 'song' (if you wanna consider this music) will end high in the Top 10. This is what people with no taste like, and Europe has many of them.
It seems to me that the Eastern Europe rules in the competition nowadays. For the final, no Norway, Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Switzerland - only Eastern Europe countries!
I was there watching at the rehearsals show. The staging and cameras and our commentators were fantastic! I still think each song had the kind of visual environment it deserved.
I haven't seen the semi-finals, but when I read the results of the semi-final I was very displeased. I will not talk about the Netherlands, but Belgium had a great song and it doesn't continue tot the finals. Instead of that, the horrible piece of crap by Turkey continues.
Let's face it: Eurovision has died. It's now Whohasthemostfriendlyneigboursion. All Western-European countries are out of the competition, 4 other big countries in Western Europe (Germany, UK, France and Spain) are only in the finals because of their huge financial input.
Without having seen the show, it's totally clear to me: Western European countries aren't popular in Eastern Europe. They only vote for their next door neighbours. The results are shocking: Belarus, Macedonia, Slovenia, Hungary, Georgia, Latvia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Moldova.
I hope that every viewer in Western Europe will vote for France Saturday Night. And I agree with Kalle: the Netherlands should really QUIT Eurovision.
I think the music style Belgium performed is dead for some time now as well..
Horrible attempt.
Serbia actually had the best song by far in the Semifinal. Denmark, Belgium, Estonia, Swiss, Andorra etc were in a wrong contest. But true, Eastern European country will win this year.
Sé que no puedo dormir porque siempre estoy soñando.
