Bands/Artists You Miss

#1 Post by One of the crowd »

Whilst on my way to work last night, I was listening to "Insides" by "Orbital" and even though their last couple of offerings did not match the quality of their earlier material, I still miss their output now they no longer record together.

But it poses the question...

What Bands, Groups or Solo Artists do you miss?

Dubstar and Lightning Seeds. New Order will be a loss as well.

808 State - although they haven't officially split, any new material is highly unlikely. :(
Orbital. :(
New Order after some time has passed. :(
There are probably others but I can't think at the moment.

All those 80s bands and the Beatles.

You should give Simon Webbe's solo stuff a listen then. Everyone says that's who he reminds them of.

I'm gutted that New Order split.

Robert Palmer's death was very sad- I loved that guy's work.

And, finally-
*whispers*
Charles and Eddie.

I know I am probably one of the only people who still remember them, but I really loved their albums... yes, I had both. A sad loss when Charles died a few years back. Their first album, Duophonic is a really great piece. :(

I'd like to see a quality new album form Simon & Garfunkel. Nirvana are another group who released some top albums.

Completely agree with the nomination for the Lightning Seeds - would love to see them do a new album (but not like their 1999 effort) I'd love Stuart Price to do another Les Rythmes Digitales album as well.

You should give the brand new Paul Hartnoll album a go. It's up there with Snivilisation and In Sides.
