I've heard the same, even if an italian fan site says almost 50 million until Pop Art and without Disco3. Look here: http://digilander.libero.it/petshopboys/numbers.htmPaddymacall wrote:Yeah I heard they sold near 40 million Albums....last count I've heard was somethings over 35 Millions. But I'm not really sure if that means all (Albums, Singles...)

So they said about ABBA too, but I don't believe it. Especially not after having read this about the Bee Gees:joshua76it wrote:I know for sure they sold more records than the Beatles, and this was known years ago already
"Only Elvis Presley, the Beatles, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Garth Brooks and Paul McCartney have outsold the Bee Gees".
Why not take a look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Best_selling_music_artists

Whenever you read anything in the music press about worldwide record sales, they are usually pulling a number out of their arse .. or their agents arse .... theyre usually inflated to almost double.
An example, Tubular Bells ... everytime I see stats in the press for this they quote something around 16 million units (circa 2000) .. yet in an interview Mike Oldfield stated that he hired an agency to exactly track the exact sales (presumably to see if Virgin were screwing him) and they came up with about 9 million.
