Your most embarrassing Pet Shop Boys moment

#1 Post by leesmapman »

When I was young, I thought the Pet Shop Boys were called Pet Shop Boys because one of the members had a hat, which in Dutch is called `Pet`.

with the people I hang out with just straight up having a PSB cd collection at all and out in the open on a CD shelf is technically an ongoing embarresing moment everytime they are over.

It used to be for me. The majority of my friends just look at my CD collection and say "bloody hell Tom there's a lot of PSB there!"

Ha ha, that's a good one. I had to think hard, but I don't think I have an embarrassing moment. Unless you count the numerous times that when you mention you're a fan of PSB people look at you as if you're from another planet :yeah:

Around about the time Where The Streets Have No Name was released, a friend of mine told me the PSB were gay. Until that point I assumed they weren't because I hadn't read anything that said they were, so I told him they weren't. Turns out I was wrong!

Retro. :)

I have this large 5' x 4' Jealousy subway poster of neil & chris in my office on the center of one wall and when ever I get visitors they always ask me about them and of course the usual questions, are they still around?, are you gay?

It is a ice breaker for them because they have something to talk to me about.

Hahaha! In school when people ask me "what type of music do you like" I say the PSB, they just look at you and say "are you gay?" It just shows you how people think these days...

The fact that I missed their latest concert in Stockholm because I was just too lazy to pick up the phone and order tickets in time... :wall:

In the 80s nobody would have even asked you if you're gay for being a psb fan. It seems as though nowadays with new romantics gone and c*** rock and lad magazines aplenty,
things have had a reactionary turn. Sad but true. Half a dozen of my friends are psb fans and none of them are gay.

Most PSB fans are thirtysomething hetros.

The gayers are busy buying Take That and the Any dream will do single.
