additions to set list?

#1 Post by tdr1973 »

Anyone know if there will be different songs in the setlist for the forthcoming shows?

We're the pet shop boys and paninaro were added this year already

Perhaps Being Boring and King's Cross, like radio 2 performance?

Seeing them again at eden project on Sunday, hopefully as good as Wolverhampton!

I think it is just the same set as always - nobody has said otherwise.

I hope to hear something different tomorrow night in Milan. Being Boring and King's Cross would be welcome. Even if my hope is to listen something from Nightlife :(

I hope, they'll add one or two new (I mean, truly new) songs from expected "Disco 4" near september, maybe for japanese dates in august or for Hollywood Bowl show.
"King's Cross" seems to be nice addition in their setlist as well (instead of "Numb").
"I think it’s an amazingly good album, I’ve got to be honest with you. It’s one of the albums I feel most proud of. But for people who don’t really know us, and have a sort of an idea about us, ‘Electric’ is more what the Pet Shop Boys are meant to be."
(Neil Tennant, speaking about "Elysium" on the eve of "Electric" release.)

Would be interesting, but I don't think they have ever played 'teasers' live before.

They have. During the Somewhere tour, they played Friendly Fire (years before its release). The new version of Paninaro, later released as Paninaro 95, was already played live in the Discovery tour, late 1994. Positive Role Model debuted live. And BEFORE the release of Release, they did a complete University Tour, playing several new songs, including I Get Along, Birthday Boy, Love Is Catastrophe and You Choose.

The album had already leaked online, so many people could already sing along, but the original plan was different. Officially, all these songs were teasers. I personally heard those Release tracks for the first time then.

(And so on: Always on My Mind, Go West, Occupy Your Mind...)
