Most of the auidence were not PSB fans but the ones i saw were converted by go west. That was great actaully a really good reaction to this with loads of people waving their arms in time.

A shorter set forthis show - i didn't mind as i saw them at thetford last year and hammersmith in may. Neil said that he got the winner of the last race and that they were very excited as it was the first time they have ever played at a racecourse.

I really enjoyed it anf the most bizarre thing was that there were people in the grandstands either side of the stage watching it on the big screens. Sylvia tired to get them to dance but no tmuch luck there! Got some quite good pics from my mobile which i will put on there later.

A thouroughly great day out (even backed two winners), no sign of rain followed by a very good gig. However, agree with the point above - most of the crowd were not PSB fans - and there was a lot of handing waving activity during Go West.

Indeed a shorter set, from memory...

No acoustic numbers, no Numb, just upbeat tracks. Neil was even trying to get the audience to sing on Domino Dancing.

From where I was (about 8 rows back if there were seats in place), either the microphone was shit or Chris had a sore throat during Paninaro.

Finally, Im starting an anti Sylvia Mason James movement. No doubt she has a great voice but hear constant wailing is rather annoying.

And a hello to the two chaps who we had breakfast with this morning at The Old Farmhouse.

Fantastic day and what a great ending to the UK shows! The stage was very high and I got a bit of neck-ache because of being close to the front.
BIG thanks to you Pineneedle for taking the photo of Neil and I

I'm looking forward to seeing it! Some of us spotted Neil and Chris in the stands after one of the races and they signed some stuff. I was really happy to get to say hello to Chris. What a night.....brilliant.

Sounds like every UK fan has had their chance more than once to see PSB this year and last year. That is great! I had other shows lined up this year besides PSB, so I could only go to Paris & Ireland gigs. I had other travels for work and then Erasure shows in the UK and Germany this year. Its been busy. I am glad everyone had a great time at the show on Friday night.

Trixie - i saw when i came in under the stand you were at the front. As i have not got my pic on here(which i will change later) i felt a bit awkward about saying hello. I arrived late as my mates were later, they always are!

Didn't get to meet the boys on this occasion - did you get to see the soundcheck?

And did you pick any winners?

OH...you should have said hello, I don't bite (Haha)! There was a soundcheck but no one was allowed past the gate at that time. When my friends spotted Neil and Chris it was in the Premier area in early evening. I usually like to bet the horses but I didn't on this occassion. It was great just watching the race though!

I can safely say we had a great time! Managed to smuggle our sparkly gold cowboy hats in despite the dress code . Ha!

Yip. Newcastle and London it was for me.

Superb! - I live in Ipswich and have travelled to manchester to see them in the past - i was lucky that two of the concerts were less than an hour and it only takes an hour and 10 mins to get to london.

If you wanted to see them we all had more than enough chances - If anyone missed out then tough titties!

Next tour 2009? or does anyone think we will see them sooner at festivals maybe?

Great day – won about 75 quid on the horses! We were in the posh bit during the day and sat not far from Neil for the penultimate race ... he was in a separate bit (for members, possibly) but you could still see him. Mrs P got a photo but it's a bit blurry. He did a few autographs so I asked him to sign my tour programme. First PSB autograph I've ever got so I was a bit nervous. He said to someone ahead of me asking for an autograph that it was a strange venue, or something like that, so I'm not sure what his/his and Chris's feelings were about doing the gig. Then a little while after that Mrs P went to the ladies and saw Neil at one of the Tote stands, putting his bet on the last race! (Which he picked the winner for!)

Great evening, too. Lots of '80s hits for people to recognise. We were down near the front (about four rows back) and everyone was enjoying it. (BTW, does anyone know what the bother was right at the front, on the right of the stage as you faced it? Couldn't see properly, but it seemed as though security were telling people off or ejecting someone ...)
