that link, that is of course a point of view, doing no different than various newspapers in other democratic societys do. ie take sides on an issue.
despite that paticular opinion I find it hard to believe the general mood of the Israeli government is blase' on the idea of an Iranian bomb given statements made by its president no less.
the Israeli survive because of their sobering view of their hostile neighbors abilitys or lack there of.
as far as the first point it seems those have been explored already.did you know that economic sanctions had already been in place for decades over the nuclear issue? I didnt.

anyways its going to come down to which side blinks, stupidly the Iranians, like saddam are underestimating Bushes resolve.

He'll be gone in a year. Iranians won't have the bomb for a decade, if they're actually trying to get it in the first place. Time is not on his side.glennjridge wrote:anyways its going to come down to which side blinks, stupidly the Iranians, like saddam are underestimating Bushes resolve.
Oh, and the Israeli foreign minister would generally be considered a fairly good barometer for Israeli foreign policy; her point of view is rather more than just an opinion piece. If she thinks Iran is no threat, who are we to argue!

Danny, you say you don't care what my "culture" is, that is ok, but it becomes a problem when people who don't care about other people's cultures start to judge them and decide their future.Danny C wrote: I don't care what your "culture" is, freedom is the ideal human condition, and anyone who lacks freedom is by definition suffering.
I don't think women enjoy being stoned for adultery as well as homosexuals for homosexual acts, but they are warned about the consequences. I think a wise use of freedom for those inclined to do that things would be to move to Holland instead of doing it in the country where 90% of population finds it so much despiseble. They are free to despise whatever they like, aren't they? I guess you despise paedophiles?Danny C wrote:I find it hard to believe that women enjoy being stoned to death for adultery, or that homosexuals enjoy being executed. There's no argument here, and your pathetic attempt to justify the human rights abuses of Iran as mere cultural differences is despicable.
Imagine --paedophiles are suffering from prohibition to have sex with 12 y.olds. Also imagine somewhere in Holland party of paedophiles comes to power (it seems there is such a patry indeed!) and starts to attack your country for opression of paedophiles, in their opinion you are not free, retarded idiots and paedophiles- poor suffering victims who should be defended. Sorry for such a rude and absurd example.
If you seriously feel sorry for people who suffer for not accepting their own cultures, i think the best solution would be to encourage and sponsor their immigration into your country and call your compatriots to do the same, anyway that would be more effective help than waging tongues.
It is a fact that Putin has enemies among rich criminals, and it seems to me murder of Politkovskaya was not done by him, but rather by those who wanted the west to think it was he. Plus many western journalists still live in cold war, it is a pleasure to them to write something bad is going on here.gregf wrote:But I am worried about the trend under Putin.
Dissidents are being murdered at an alarming rate.
I'm not a fan of Putin though...the population is getting richer. but our olds (pensioneres) live in awful poverty. The majority of them are commies so you might say they don't deserve anything good, but they worked hard all their lifes and received nothing, i feel sorry for them.
yes, i think about that.gregf wrote:For every rouble you profit comrade, there is a price to your soul
By the way it seems Pet Shop Boys are going to come to Moscow on the day of elections, December2 2007. Saw a huge advertising board with Neil and Chris today

Galata, did you see George Bush come out and say PKK are terrorists and America stands
with their good friends in Turkey against PKK terrorists.
I wonder how you feel about the great support of your friend George Bush ?

The real Irony is :
George W Bush and Rice said : " Pkk is a common enemy of Turkiye /Iraq /America"
But America supports Pkk terrorists.
1 - pkk terrorists uses American weapons.
2 - Our soldiers arrested some terrorists 3 - 4 months ago They said " When we were in the northern Iraq, some american generals came to pkk camps by hummer jeeps and trucks. They talked to camp leaders. (American generals are talking to terrorist
leaders) and they gave us weapons."
3 - In the northern Iraq,In Quandil mountains,in pkk camps, There are some helicopter bases.Which helicopters can come to pkk camps? Of course, american helicopters..
4 - Our intelligence service (MIT) has a lot of photographs and documents about relations between America + terrorists..
5 - ex pkk leader, baby killer Abdullah Ocalan's brother, Osman Ocalan said "America /Israel always supports pkk"
6 - America rules Iraq. Why dont they arrest pkk terrorists?
7 - A dialogue between Turks and Americans
Americans : "Pkk is a terrorist organization."
Turks : "Thanx mate! Pkk camps are in iraq. Can you bomb?
Americans :" Really? We dont know where they are..We cant find them.."
Turks : "But Cnn/Bbc /Al-Jazeerra/Ard/Dw / Nyt *Washington Post Found.. How cant you find?"
Americans : "We dont know where they are.."
Turks : "Ok mate! No problem.Let us bomb to pkk camps in iraq.It is our right.."
Americans : "No you cant bomb""
Turks : "But you came to bomb Afghanistan + Iraq passing the ocean.. What the hell are you doing in Afgh + iraq"
Americans : ""???"
Turks : "After 9/11, We supported you against Al-queda camps in Afghanistan. If you are our friend, you must support us"
Americans : "Give us 72 hours"
and Bush said " Pkk is our enemy too"
A senario :
"""Al queda militants are in Mexico, and if they kill americans,I wonder , What would AMerica do against mexico??""
---------
8 - Coward terrorist killed 12 Turkish soldiers 2 weeks ago.. When we .looked at the attack,We see, It is too professional.I mean, Terrorists in the mountains, cant plan that attack..Probably americans/isralis helped..
America is not our friend...(I am talking about Bush gov.)

1 - before 1950s, there was no Israel...glennjridge wrote:galata, the difference is nobody thinks Israel is a threat because they have nukes.
Iran on that point is a wildcard.
and thats why nobody cares about Israel having nuclear weapons yet they do on the issue of Iran.
2 - You are talking about """CARE"".... Who controls the world media? Who controls the richest companies of the world? who controls the econmy, global economic crisis? who controls the govs?
If you answer these questions,You will see whey israel is not a threat (!)....

while I certainly dont have my hand on the pulse of the Iranian political matters, going by history, these types never are gone in a year. they fester and grow into men with power left unchecked and then people years from then will ask why these types wreent nipped in the bud.Danny C wrote:He'll be gone in a year. I do however think they are trying very very hard to get the bomb not only that I dont believe at all it will be decades. I dont like what I hear from that guys mouth.
that mentality cant have nuclear capabilitys.

the western cultures arent afraid to have other religions offered or practiced. there is no harm in missionarys.
I also dont like the tone of other muslims who talk about the numbers game about how large they are becoming per country.
because it doesnt seem to be touted for the right reasons. its touted like" you unbelievers and your culture are numbered, just wait and see when we get majoritys.
oh, and even when the US admin sides with you on the PKK terrorist situation you go into Israeli/american conspiracys.
I dont know what it is with this mentality. unless your culture gets past this engrained conspiracy nonsense I dont see much hope for you ever being able to make nice with Israel. it makes it look like to the world you are incapable of rational thought and therefore looked down upon in comparison with other countrys in the union and gets Israel more sympathy.
and if you are being threatened with terrorists turkey has every right to defend itself if Iraq or the US wont help out in that regard end of story.I believe Bush is for helping you on this issue whether you like it or not.

Unlike the country that waged illegal wars, installed puppet democracies and bombed Nagasaki into the stone age. Right, OK.glennjridge wrote:Danny C wrote:glennjridge wrote:anyways its going to come down to which side blinks, stupidly the Iranians, like saddam are underestimating Bushes resolve.

I certainly don't support Iran if they wish to develp a nuclear bomb but let's not take lecture's from nuclear armed 'democracies'. The US has far, far more pressing threats than Iran in the next decade.

yeah the view of the european college campus of the united states. your dreamin.get the united nations to sanction the united states or threaten us with war for our supposd war crimes and go on record, until then thats just the faux "I'm a protester I am I really am!" man child view of what the US has done thru history.
its pretty much exclusively an internet political forumviewpoint or anti-US street protest thing and as such can be totally discarded as it goes no further.
nobody supports Iran apparently, yet they will argue for the sake of arguing against the power that is trying to stop it. cripes sake even france is falling in line on this issue.
sheesh, when something like that happens your just plain out of excuses.

Hey Black, from Moscow: why do you have such a filthy mind, and why are you such a billboard for why the Russians are still in the Dark Ages?
You wrote:

So, those sluts don't enjoy being slaughtered with rocks, but clearly you approve. Is this Russia we're still talking about? Stoning adultereses? Whoa! You lot are worse than I thought.
As for gay people, like Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe of Pet Shop Boys, who the f*** are you to warn of consequences?
" I think a wise use of freedom for those inclined to do that things would be to move to Holland instead of doing it in the country where 90% of population finds it so much despiseble. They are free to despise whatever they like, aren't they? I guess you despise paedophiles? "
I think ANY Russian would love to move to Holland rather than deal with cavewomen like you. Yep, get me out of here. But hasn't that been the case forever?
"Imagine --paedophiles are suffering from prohibition to have sex with 12 y.olds. At least you've put down the vodka long enough to admit what you're talking about is absurd. But what a sick, fevered attempt to smear all gay people as pedophiles!
Astonishing, you put some effort into it.
You're reprehensible, Black. Screw your support of brutalizing gay people- talk about suffering victims! I'd tell you to go to hell, but sounds like you're already there.

I know D. What's up with them? It's not just the gay thing, I actually hate to have to state the obvious. Russia's pretty amazing at the amount of shady behavior going on at the highest levels.
The Soviet mindset lives on though, clearly.
Yet another case of our Cretin-in-Chief here inspiring bad behavior and chest-thumping among thuggish leaders elsewhere.
Screw multiculturalism , I sometimes think. Like all the post-Soviet countries wanting to be part of the EU while they stone adulteresses and throw the Jew down the well (in spirit).
Screw hippy-dippy pampered elites talking about the marvels of "Africa" as an abstract concept when the growth industry there is bone-collecting,misery and genocide.
Or in Russia, porn, nightclubs, booze and prostitutes. Hitmen and murder. Jesus, 20 journalists critical of Putin have been killed! All unsolved "mysteries". The London radiation poisoning of Yetvenko? Hello! TV in Russia is 100 percent chauvanistic nationalism all the time, like FOX "News". Every failing of Russia is blamed of foreigners, and of course, fags.
Won't even mention that good Dainton lost his life in Russia's booze-soaked demimonde. RIP.
