My thoughts exactly. That said, I never could tell much difference between the Andy and Alison vocally, except maybe that Alison's voice is a tad deeper...

The difference? Moyet is a performer. Bell is an exhibitionist.

He did, but this is his musical partner leaving him and going off to his previous musical partner. It's a bit like the difference between splitting up with your girlfriend for a while because you need a break and leaving her to go back to your previous love.

I suspect it means the end of Erasure, but somebody in the know will no doubt tell us that it's all very amicable, etc. Even if that is the case, it suggests that Erasure is no longer the only game in town for either of them. Then again, some might say that Erasure has been a moribund project for at least a decade.

I cannot see the point really. Is there one? This was 25 years ago. Someone should tell them that it's time to move on. They did some good tunes but let it go.

I don't think Erasure are splitting. Aren't they currently recording?

Don't agree. I'd never seen OMD live before, so it was fantastic to see them play last year in London. Same with Yazoo.

Alison Moyet looked a bit scary at the time. She looked like Divine on the verge of a tantrum. What's up to her nowadays?

Totally agree, I saw OMD many years ago (and they still are my ultimate fave band); but why shouldn't they (Yazoo) reform and have some further success... be better than most of the junk churned out by "modern" bands; who prefer doing monotonoous covers time and time again.... Bring back the 80s phenomonen I say! :yeah: :yeah: :yeah: :yeah: :yeah:
