Wow, two of my favourite bands combine! What could be better. Seeing as there will be no more new Order stuff, it's great to have a new song from Bernard and B&J.

Sounds good.

I liked their version of "A Forest" with Robert Smith.

That actually sounds pretty good- I especially like the Progressive mix there.

Can I ask though, has Bernard Sumner fought off a lifelong urge towards homosexuality? There's been plenty of ambiguity in New Order lyrics before, but this is something else:

"In the mirror/ lay a stranger
And he asked me/to go with him
But I knew I couldn't give in"

Then, "you're my miracle cure". Seriously, knowing the ambiguity of NO lyrics , it sounds like he's addressing a woman saving him from (gay) temptation. It's an interesting and constant theme in New Order lyrics, subtle but unmistakeable if you're attuned.

Singing of Johnny in "1963" or the "blue-eyed boy" of "Here to Stay", there's a distinct undertone of homoerotic yearning in a lot of Bernard Sumner's lyrical output. One can disagree, but as someone who's listened for over 20 years to his work, it's just there.
This new song radically confirms this to me, it's an explicit scenario of attraction, guilt, and telling a woman she's his miracle "cure" from temptation. It's pretty fascinating.

I think Bernard Sumner might be an artist somewhat tortured by his true desires, but painfully cannot admit them, for many reasons- where he grew up and when, having a family- I think he's repressed.

It's a great song. But nothing more than that.
One can't find the way to peace. Peace is the way itself. (Gandhi)

There is a strong link with the Glen Morrison and Byron Wong dub remix and the Pet Shop Boys Miracles by Eric Prydz remix ..
They make a little go along way.. very Minimal but Fundamental.

I agree, Hmmm.

Love the Martin Roth mix, razory techno.

And DJAMIX, you're right. To an extent.

Bernard has an iconic voice when it comes to electronic dance music.

I love this song. But is it even being released in the UK? It was supposed to be out yesterday but there was no sign of it in the shops and there doesn't seem to be anything online. It's not even on iTunes. Help!
