Gaming thread
What you addicted to at the moment? Anything good (or crap) that you have played lately?
Just put Call Of Duty 5 on. This is awesome. COD 4 was pretty impressive as well.
FIFA 09 is the best football game of the year IMO. Finally they put out a game that bettered ISS.
Got Devil May Cry and Tiger 09 to try yet.

Poor health gives me lots of time, but little energy.
I tend to sample the best few games.
Trying Far Cry 2 just now. Original was great.
Got stuck in HL2 Ep 2.
Portal, part of Orange Box was fantastic. But you need to play through.
Those who have, don't want to spoil things by explaining too much.
And still do a bit of Civilisation 3.

I played call of duty 4 online for so long, I just not sure I've got it in me right now to start up again with call of duty 5 so soon.
I've been playing a PC game now called left 4 dead, which is a first person shooter zombie game. its pretty messed up .

I've been playing CoD 5 / World at War for the past week or so, great fun with a bunch of mates in multiplayer. Some of the achievements are really mental to get like tripping off explosives through walls and calling so many attack dogs in a match.
After Gregf said they improved Stream, I bought Portal last month and really enjoyed playing through it. Just on the advanced and times levels now.
Another game is Audiosurf

You load up any tune of your choice from your music collection and the game creates a race track for you to travel on collecting coloured blocks to score points. Very simple idea and very addictive.
We should have a forum competition to see who can get the high scores on certain PSB tracks.

Re: Gaming thread
Just finished BioShock (very good) and before that Half Life 2 Episodes 1 & 2 (excellent).
Currently working my way through F.E.A.R. Extraction Point (quite good) and will probably follow that up with the second F.E.A.R. expansion, Perseus Mandate. I have dozens of games I've not yet played, and it'd be nice to get round to playing one of those, probably S.T.A.L.K.E.R. if I have time before December.
Cos after that, GTA IV should make its long awaited appearance on PC, and that'll occupy my life for a good few weeks.
I'll probably pick Fallout 3 up soon too. I want to play through 1 & 2 first though, to set the scene.

I just finished bioshock myself.what a weird surreal looking game that was. the enviroments were really interesting looking. they were pretty succesful creating a different look. while a little repititious it was a pretty good gameDanny C wrote:Just finished BioShock (very good) and before that Half Life 2 Episodes 1 & 2 (excellent).

I've not played it on the Wii, so i've no idea what it's like. I found the Wii more of a fun machine. The graphics are pretty average but the games are a good laugh. Only tried the Fit thingy and a few silly games though.Patrick Bateman wrote:Impossible. The Wii version of ISS is superb.
I'm finding that the DS is probably the most popular. Obviously you can take it anywhere and there are some very good games.
