I don't follow Doctor Who at all, but he was great in Peep Show. However, hasn't he previously played a different character in the series? How would they get around something like that?

Someone who works in the UK comics industry that has ties to the Doctor Who creative team.

I'm not inspired by this decision. I'm sure the producers knew what they were doing when they cast him. He just looks like a teenager/goth.

probably just the photo. Does he have the necessary gravitas?
