what I want to know, where do all those cool looking prototypes always go? are they totally for show? cause it seems like they never get to production.

one of the problems I see with american car manufactures is they dont make that many sporty looking vehicals. you know the kind you want to drive and show off. they look too practical and boring. like the people designing them is a team of 50 year old soccer moms.

heres what I want!

I've just bought a Peugeot 207 (06 plate) 1.6hdi sport.
I've driven Fords since I passed my test 9 years ago & this has finally given me the confidence that I never had before. Always knowing that if I had a crash in the Escort, the probabilities of me not walking away were high....

Very good choice. And Lexus are the most reliable cars. If they put this prototype into production... 8)

I think the car industry is being hit by a double whammy.

The Global Financial Crisis ... and ...
..... Why would anyone want to spend big on obsolete technology ?

Clearly in the next few years, we will have hybrids of rapidly improving quality.
No one (well not I) would want to spend big dollars on a petrol engine.

I own a toyota aygo, great city car and very little petrol will get you a long way. I also own a PT Cruiser 2.4 High Output Turbo GT and although it has a great engine, unfortunately uses up too much petrol. I bought them both new as I know how I maintain them and I think that way I can make the most out of its life. Some people really don't care about their cars and even a 2 yrs old car can be a very bad purchase as it was never properly maintained. I hope I made sense...if not, oh well :shifty:

I used to work in a car rental place and at the end of the shift I drove a few cars in order to go fill them up with petrol. I drove a few picasso and I like them. They weren't serviced that much either.
