The 50 million figure includes single sales.
According to Parlophone/EMI; Pet Shop Boys have sold over 30 million albums worldwide since 1986.

What number are Erasure in the album chart? Can you find out for me Undertaker. I really cannot be arsed navigating to the official UK album charts website. What number is 'Total Pop'?

How poor

Does the sales figure include double, trible, quadruple purchases by the devoted and zelaous Erasure fans? or are they counted independently?

I don't think they chart rig anymore. They normally send out members of the forum to other forums to promote Erasure. They are called 'The Street Team'. Quite a loyal thing to do, if you can be arsed.

So I suppose no other fans of any other band do that do they? Obviously not PSB fans!

Nobody is saying there's anything wrong with it though. I think it's perfectly reasonable personally, after all if anyone who isn't interested about them sees a thread about Erasure on a forum they can just ignore it. I wouldn't do that kind of thing myself, but then each and every one of us is allowed to decide what, within reason, we do with our own free time, and promoting records whose sales do not directly benefit me financially isn't one of the things I'm particularly keen to do, but if others are that's great.

You seem to be a mite over-sensitive when it comes to the dynamic duo.

Andy gives him half a dozen flowery baps off his market stall, gratis, for defending and promoting the band on the Internet. True story.

According to yesterday's Sun, Andy Bell claimed Erasure would have received the Outstanding Contribution award if they were on Parlophone :?

I wonder if it's just a coincidence but the slang for 'The Sun' is 'Currant Bun'

He probably only did the interview because he needed the dough.
