I've always used cakewalk SONAR producer version.

the reason I use that over the others is because its as deep as the others, yet it is very beginner friendly.

Logic is mac only.

I use Sonar as well.

But really, any one of Logic, Sonar, Cubase, Protools, Reaper, etc. will do more than fine.
