Actually, the nursery rhymes thing may be their saving grace. They could dress up like something off In the Night Garden - Andy in a huge latex leotard and Vince as a giant Mekon head. Andy would have to improve his lyrics a bit but I can see a huge untapped market of under-fives there ripe for their picking. mistermig would love it too.

I just grazed through the last couple of pages on here and the amount of bitterness toward Erasure and Erasure fans is pretty astounding. Most of what's being said, as Tuff Enuff rightly stated, is designed to distort things completely. The problem is, a small handful of PSB fans are so far up their own behinds that they can't differentiate their inferiority complexes from reality. That is truly the saddest sight of all, but it gives me the oddest sense of satisfaction.

If you weighed the amount of writing that is being waged against Erasure, you wouldn't think they were a "washed up band that need to find their way who are about to lose their record contract and that some PSB fans don't find even compare, etc." All this strange stating and re-stating of the same regurgitated dross is hilarious to me - and makes it painfully obvious, that even when I don't post a message in almost two pages, that the same handful of PSB-only fans must keep on with their delusion. It's as though the inferiority complex gets the better of them even when nothing is said and a pack mentality clicks in to keep themselves from reality. Further to stating over and over again that you won't post on here because it's not worth it - it becomes an embarrassing reversal when you keep coming back to repost.

Bitter? No. Disheartened? Yes. What makes Erasure fans disheartened is seeing their favourite group being ignored due to the focus of the PR machine. If anyone thinks that something is better because it sells (or even if it has the propensity to sell), I can't take them seriously. The endless attention Erasure receive on this forum is proof of the inferiority some PSB fans feel, and the vast majority of comments are not even about Erasure's music.

Any talk about Andy being shameless or other personal things to do with the band are diversions from what's really important, and I now really get why someone would want to divert this attention from art. "It's about the music, stupid." As much as I am a fan of PSB, I am starting to understand and accept why some people prefer PSB to Erasure. If anyone thinks that they make a stinging 3-pointer by coughing up ridiculous information on any band's personal lives or PR or sales stats or marketing, et al, then they've truly lost the artful spirit of music and they've foolishly embraced the fickle, paper thin illusion of marketing. Your inferiority complex is exacerbating. Bravo, once again.

That idea is half baked.
Evertonians are born not manufactured.
We do not choose; we are chosen.
Those who understand need no explanation.
Those that don't understand don't matter.

It's not exactly V&A who post here so I really can't understand your comment.
It gives their music a negative association.

It's a pitta they don't get lord Tiska involved with his free gift idea's. A free crayon would be a good idea. They just need to use their loaf and at yeast give it a try.

There isn't a baking equivalent of Postman Pat, Fireman Sam or Bob the Builder yet, is there?

He's a bit old skool though. I think Andy the Singing Baker and his sidekick Vince the Analogue Synth Repair Man could bring the art of baking to a 21st Century audience.

More leaks ;- This must be the song Patrick was going on about when he mentioned wa*king in the bread.

A Pitta, A Patta

A pitta, a patta, a ten o’clock batter,
What makes you come so soon?
You used to come at ten o’clock,
But now you come at noon.

Gingerbread Vince

Mix and stir and put in the Mince,
I'm going to make a gingerbread Vince
With a nose so neat
And Vince so sweet
And gingerbread shoes
On his gingerbread feet

Pat-a-cake

Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake, i'm a real baker’s man,
Bake me a cake as fast as you can;
Roll it, and poke it, and mark it with A&V,
And throw it in the oven for Vince and me.

Think a lot of erasure fans are too blinkered to notice.
What a pity most of Erasure's fans have no chance to be informed about that by the "omniscient" skyhigh. Because when skyhigh tells something is shit then it must be shit and anyone not agreeing with him is either blind or stupid. But seriously, ever considered that you appear crass with comments like this?
Go fast!
