#1 Post by PlayBeyond »

Gatchaman was a 1970's Anime T.V show is being pulled into the 21st century and made into a film to be released in 2010

'The film is set in a future world grappling with environmental and technological issues. The story focuses on five reluctant heroes whose remarkable genetic code makes them Earth's only hope of defeating extra-terrestrial invaders.'

They'd better make him/her a hermaphrodite this time round.

I used to love Battle of the Planets. Turns out it had nothing much to do with Gatchaman plot-wise, but hey-ho...

I bought all of the Gatchaman DVDs last summer but only ended up watching the first episode. It wasn't quite the same as when one is five years old.

I may try and watch some of the later episodes this summer.....and perve at Jun/Princess flashing her panties.

me too. it used to always be on when I came home from school. I remember that zoltar dude would always be 10 seconds from capture an then he'd press a button or something and then he'd escape.....like every freakin episode.

after a couple months of this I was like DIE! DIE!

I was trying to figure out what your talking about cause I certainly remember he was a guy then I read this....

Zoltar is not what he seems, as in the Japanese version he is unmasked and has the face/body of a woman (a hermaphrodite)

cant the japanese leave well enough alone with my beloved childhood cartoon characters?
now I'll probably find out catwoman was a tranny

Well it was the bloody Americans who sanitised it. The weird thing is through all the 7-Zark-7 and 'Hey I'm Casey Kasem' bullshit, even as a five-year old one could still see the dark heart of Gatchaman lurking.

Katse is a mutant, created when Sosai X merged male and female twins in their mother's womb. As a result, Katse can shift genders, and spent years transferring between schools due to a yearly gender change until he/she gained control over this ability. When female, Katse is said to have an IQ of over 280 (and is sometimes seen in the series as the Female General, or Mala in Battle of the Planets). Katse may also be able to change shape. Katse managed to keep his/her identity secret throughout most of the series until Dr. Nambu dug up some old school records and documentation, then fit the puzzle pieces together.
