I Like Don't Go and Only You, they were a very good duo but no, nowhere near as good as PSB though.

There's a couple of fantastic singles by Yazoo. I find it amazing how well received they were critically and in general during their recent-ish concerts. I bet Andy Bell would kill a child for that kind of respect.

They weren't getting along. They were both quite stubborn and had *very* different ideas about music, as shown by the completely different paths they took.Vince wrote:They were fantastic.. wonder why they broke up when they had a good sound going..
Vince had intended it to be a one-off collaboration. When "Only You" became a massive hit, he was under pressure to do an album... and then another album.
It's too bad because they really were great together. Alison had much more -- for lack of a less ridiculous and clichéd term -- soul than anyone else Vince has worked with. Andy Bell could never pull off something like "Winter Kills".

We are star stuff which has taken its destiny into its own hands. The loom of time and space works the most astonishing transformations of matter. We are a way for the universe to know itself.
