Not according to the stats in this thread. For the UK, Nightlife has sold 130,000 to date while Fundamental has only sold 100,000 (there are no figures for Release). At a global level it has continued to be a gradual decline (if you believe the stats in this thread) despite overall better chart placings for Fundamental. I somehow expect Yes will ultimately follow this trend and sell slightly less than Fundamental, although I'd love to proved wrong on this.

The UK figure for Nightlife is very misleading. It represents how many copies were shipped into stores, not actual sales, which were pitiful - around the 30,000 mark. Fundamental sold 66,000.

Thanks for the figures. They look very believable to me. I always thought that there was no way that Introspective could be their biggest selling album, despite Neil claiming that it was so. Surely Actually was far and aay their biggest seller.

Generally they have been on a downward spiral saleswise and I've never believed some of the inflated figures for those albums which have been posted in the past. Hopefully the downward spiral ends with Yes, which I believe will outsell Fundamental - if only narrowly so.

I think there was a period when Introspective was the biggest selling album ever in South America (at least by a non-South American act). That's why it's often been mistaken as their best selling album overall.

A nice wee chart fact, PSB are currently the only act to have 2 UK Top 20 albums this year (Yes/ PopArt).

All album and single sales combined, they've shifted at least 100,000 records in the UK so far in 2009.

To be fair, i think the downward spiral ended when Fundamental was released. That album could have easily dissapeared without a trace but it performed much better in the first week than the previous 2 albums and was only just behind PopArt.

EMI get knocked a lot but they have put in a lot of promotion and backing in the past 4 years. Ultimately to make sure they keep the fan base and they have certainly managed that and then some.

Fundamental was by far the poorest selling album in the USA, only about 40k ... even disco 3 sold more than that here ..... however the pre-orders for yes look much more promising.

Didn't West End Girls sell around 950,000? I'm sure i saw somewhere that it was just short of a million seller.
