HA HA HA, good one!!!
What other explanation can be given to your ranting? You are going on about stuff that hasn't been written. Something you are very good at.
JSDOUVRES wrote: Sorry but some of the stuff that is written here is just hilarious and I am free to post if i want (sorry about that). I can see that anybody who dares disagree with you is seen as a trouble maker straight away which is laughable!
What stuff in this thread is ''laughable''? All anyone has done until you got involved, was to discuss other acts' chart positions and sales. Sorry i said that some Erasure albums sold a lot lower than i thought  but they were. Nowhere was i taking the piss or being leary.

You constantly go on about stuff that hasn't been said. Therefore, it comes across as trouble making. It seems that your intentions are to get discussions closed.
JSDOUVRES wrote: Did you actually read what I said, because if you did you would clearly have seen that I said that I find "Yes" to be a fantastic album,
And your point is? Is this called a non-sequitor? I haven't got a clue why you are bringing your opinion of 'Yes' into the discussion for.
JSDOUVRES wrote: but I unlike a few on here don't need to kiss Neil and Chris's asses
Like i've said before - You are on a Pet Shop Boys forum. Most people here idolise them. What did you expect? You're paranoid matey. It's becoming more evident that i think you are here to stir it up and cause arguments because now you are bringing disputes from other topics into here.
JSDOUVRES wrote: I find it strange that you arn't crucifying OMD for there "poor" sales of their new greatest hits cd
Again, what you going on about? I've not got any info on OMD to have an opinion. Where did that nonsense come from?
JSDOUVRES wrote: If you want to give opinions that nobody has the right to disagree with then maybe you should open a forum like Lydia's. I am not trying to cause arguments, just having the freedom to give my opinion on some of the paff that's been written.
It's not your opinion thats the problem, it's the attitude of your posts that i'm not keen on. you keep going on about stuff that hasn't been said, or has nothing to do with the discussion. You are having digs at people for things that simply haven't been said. There had been no arguing or any piss taking until you posted earlier. You just waded in posting all kinds of accusations.

Like i said before, please don't try ruin this thread. i suggest you don't post unless you can contribute. Considering you have a problem with me posting about sales in here, i suggest you put my posts on ignore. Then we wont have to go down this road again.

Very surprised Erasure sold more than PSB in the nineties in the album and singles charts.
Even more surprised Daniel O'Donnell sold more than PSB.

Clearly you've misunderstood the purpose of a fans' forum. It's not about providing some misguided sense of "balance". When I go to the match, I don't want to see Man U fans dotted around the stadium criticising my team in order to provide a counterweight to the rest of us who are cheering them on.

This place can well do without you and your snide remarks. It is fundamentally not a better place for your creepy obsessions, stalkerish tendencies, petty personal squabbles and general attempts to bring the level of discussion down to your level.

Why don't you just f*ck off? You don't belong here.

UK/Cumulative Single Sales:

1985/1988:
2,820,000 Pet Shop Boys.
1,550,000 Erasure.

1989-January-1999:
2,370,000 Erasure

1985/January-1999:
4,428,000 Pet Shop Boys

Source: Record Mirror/Hitmusic.
Thanks for those XTZ. Great work. PSB are about 1 million in front. Quite surprising as they have only 1 number 1 album. It just shows that their albums did hang about for a bit. I'll see if i can find the first week's chart of each PSB albums release.

Pretty poor timing with their first three albums, though it's pretty amazing Actually manage to beat Pink Floyd. In theory, Behaviour should have been able to beat a rather anti-climatic Paul Simon album in its second week but than I suppose Graceland was one of the definitive yuppie albums of the decade.

So what some people are saying here then is that as long as it is good stuff written about the boys it doesn't matter even if it is a load of made up, ass licking crap and if anybody dares to disagree then they are nothing more than trouble-making "Erasure" fans that have no right posting on this board whether they like PSB or not.
Thanks for clearing that up guys, but I think not!

Two things:
1) I don't understand why so many topics on this forum end up in PSB vs Erasure cat fights.
2) Your final comment is way off the mark. Somebody with a neutral opinion can also post here. This is a Pet Shop Boys discussion forum, not a fan forum.

To an extent, this is a fan forum. After all, it is PSB that bring us here - not the weather, not the price of cheese, not the quality of Andy Bell's bread.

It's a bit much to swallow when the trouble is started by comments made by people who are clearly just here to stir it up. OK, they may claim to be fans of PSB, but they clearly prefer another group, and that's where the trouble starts. Especially as one of them clearly doesn't like PSB and is here for one reason only.

Because we allow too many Erasure trolls to continue to post their bile here when they should be banned.

Their agenda is as transparent as one of Kylie's undergarments; why can't the admin see what everyone else does? How many times do they have to stalk people by posting their names and address, or post fictional PMs on the forum, or subscribe people to Gaydar for it to become an issue?

Pet Shop Boys Community. You have that word in Holland, don't you? This is a community, a place for like-minded people to come and discuss a shared interest.

It is not a place for simple-minded, troublecausing fools to come and rubbish our shared interest in the name of "balance".

A good read. Especially the great achievement of Very Relentless. i didn't know it had such an impact.

Also, the increase in sales PSB have had with their last 2 albums. Nightlife and Release struggled a bit but it's some comeback.

You could take that statement and apply it to basic problems of the world, religion, immigration, sexuality, gay marriage, terrorism and even internet forum debate.
You should feel ashamed for posting that statement.
I am sure Hitler started by saying something similar all those years ago.
