I want to start a blog I can do Facebook wall type posts and post pictures on. Idea being is that I want Facebook for my friends and my blog for anyone else to view that I can link to. Is there something similar in style to the Facebook Wall?
Not sure I want Twitter.
Starting a blog.

Thanks.Fugitive1979 wrote:Have you tried Blogger?
My other idea is a forum that is similar to this one, I don't know if StevePSB would be able to help me get something going. I want it for paranormal discussion so it doesn't have to be a Facebook wall. People are so touchy and the only posts some are interested in are, "Thank you for adding me as a friend!" and creeping generally.
I want to get off it and borrow 'some' of the fan base.
Alternatively are there any Petheads that could help me out with getting an mIRC room and a pJIRC interface? Ideally I think realtime is what we all truly want. I may be able to pay someone something small for assistance. I'd like #themolehill probably.

Can't you just communicate through the power of your minds?mole973102 wrote:I want it for paranormal discussion so it doesn't have to be a Facebook wall.

I think you should stick to Facebook, honestly. If you want a blog, start a blog. Make it interesting. You seem to want all the bells & whistles first, like an IRC chat. Well, there's homework, then. Sorry, but you're all over the place with what you want. Re-think and simplify is my advice. Ask yourself who'll show up, realistically- large websites have IRC chat that's empty, abandoned. Who's your audience? Paranormal PSB fans? That might be 25 people in the world.
Sorry to be harsh, some realism and a simpler approach at first is your best bet. Good luck.

It could be like that...yes...empty LOL (especially as the audience is not my main grouping). You're right, may not work.Deschanel wrote:I think you should stick to Facebook, honestly. mIRC is what I'm thinking of trying for live chat because you can have a web-based frontend but getting pJIRC to work is complicated for me.
A blog would be simply for my opinions. Blogger sounds good.

I'm just interested in different viewpoints. It isn't as fun.Patrick Bateman wrote:Can't you just communicate through the power of your minds?
