Uh, proper flu (Swine or otherwise) is not going to bear much resemblance to a common cold, nasty or otherwise.

Anyone who has actually had flu will know that when you are afflicted, you can barely function.
Yes you're right of course. There's that saying that you know if you have the flu because if you see a fifty pound note blow by the window, you won't go to look for it. That said, the more I hear about my wife's aunt's ilness, the more it sounds like she was really ill. She was however looked after at home and will not be part of the official statistics. In a country like Mexico, this is likely to have happened in many cases, especially before the pandemic scare really broke, and hence my point about the statistics from Mexico still stands.

it is a scam by the Daily Mail to sell papers imho. Flu is an absolute shit though, in tens years of working I have had 7 days off sick, four of those were due to genuine flu, I had to crawl to the bathroom
Still waiting to hear the Adam Freeland, Manhattan Clique and Axwell mixes of Integral.

Erm... they don't market the Daily Mail in Mexico City, and let me tell you they're taking it bloody seriously there.

More precisely:

Last night's London Lite warned that pig flu ‘may kill 94,000 Londoners' and infect 3.25 million.

Seeing these numbers we may see PSB concerts canceled.

It's all bollocks. Give it a fortnight and it will be contained.
