"Take me to the hospital"
No, I'm not referring to The Prodigy.
Next Tuesday I'll be hospitalized since I'm having a surgical operation to remove a hernia on my back.
No need to say that I'm very nervous, not only for the operation, but even for the total anaesthesia.
I am collecting good books and converting some albums into MP3 to have something to do in the days I will have to stay in bed.
Anyone had a similar operation?
Bye
Andrea

I've had so many general anaesthetics I've lost count. I've just come out of hospital following a 6 hour operation and am fine. Don't worry about it, you're in good hands.

You'll be ok. I hate hospitals and operations. I've spent 8 days in a hospital one time.

The anaesthetic will be okay - you will be able to have a nice dream about Neil and Chris
- my husband had a hernia operation 10 days ago and has been out driving the car today. Good luck - let us know how you get on.

Surgical operation delayed due to hospital problems.
I am very upset.
Everyday can be "the day" now on, I only have to wait.
Thank you for your kind words, anyway.

I had an an anaesthetic when I had my wisdom teeth removed years ago. It was a nice trip and I had a lazy dozy day after.

Andmaste,
Sorry to hear you've got to have an operation.
But, as StevePSB - a man who knows all too well about surgeries! - says:
Have faith. It'll be alright.
I've been anesthetized twice. And I was over 50 both times.
Frankly -- It was Great!
As for after the surgery }}
Listen to your body. Some days will be good, some bad.
This too shall pass.
And know that you are loved.

Oh, I had a hernia operation (anaesthesia included) three years ago...everything easy and fine with the operation, don´t worry about that! (specially the anaesthesia part was great!!
