Moby's new stuff

Thats his new song, Shot in the Back of the Head, from his new album out June 30. Very impressed he's releasing such a radio-unfriendly song, its nice he's stopped conforming again.

I like Moby, but I seriously hope the rest of the album isn't like that. The first minute was irritating. It's also a concern that it's only 13 months since his last album was released. I hope he isn't just releasing any old stuff without it being up to scratch. Quality, not quantity.

I like Moby too but haven't played his last album as much as the ones before...so I hope he comes up with something stunning again. A very different song this is (can we call it a song?)

he pretty much ripped off the main chord progression in sia's "breathe me". otherwise known as the song that was in the six feet under final. especially when the orchestra kicks in.

I tried hard to like his music because I thought as a card carrying member of liking electronic music I was supposed to. but I just dont like hardly anything.

Sounds good to me. If you've never seen Moby in concert I highly recommend it, he is crazy!

Moby did some great things in the past, but I hardly play his most recent album. It has only a couple of standout tracks. I agree with Transforce about the Moby concerts, though. Always a pleasure to experience.

This is apparently the 'real' first single, Pale Horses. Its a better song, and a nice little video. Hope it becomes popular.

That "Shot" video is directed by David Lynch btw.

Glenn, you're so right about Sia's "Breathe Me"- it's not just the chord progression, it's a wholesale lift of it. Ugh, a bit crass.

I like Moby, but lately more in theory. I seem to like his stuff on first listen, and not much longer. When his songs turn up in my playlist I can't listen to more than one at a time, too much Moby irks. Don't know why that is.
