The Chemical brothers mix of slow is on the RBW single. yup do go and boy...

and ofcourse needless to say, it all ends with a madonna v/s kylie debate  like there was any comparison to start with, esp when kylie and all of female popdom, tip their hats and tongues to the ole lady madge herself in gratitude!

the fact that kylie haters here actually use their time constructively writing marathon posts and even keep their wives waiting in bed, shows the influence kylie has on 'em  LOL!
Left to my own devices, I probably would...

As for longevity... Cliff Richard has been around for almost 50 years now. Well, he must be three times as brilliant as Kylie then!
Yeah thats fantastic. The Rolling Stones have been around just as long too. Whats your point ?
I'm not talking about them or Cliff Richard. I'm sure both these artists have many fans, and I don't have issues with them...nor Madonna.
But just beacaue you are one of those people who obviously can't see past her PWL years (hey, that was 13 years ago), and can't admit or acknowledge her success in her 17 year career - I don't have to sit back and listen to people like you cry because you don't like Kylie's ass or voice or teeth or whatever. if you don't like her music, hey - don't listen to it ! Simple solution...
No matter how much you don't want to admit it, Kylie is a success. Bam ! :D
I don't really get your point. Yes, Kylie has been successful. I have never denied that. My point has been that for a pop star as succesful as she is - an icon even - she has managed to release astonishingly few really outstanding pop songs. History has proven the SAW years a dark age in pop music: at least here in Scandinavia their songs are not being played anywhere, not even in the radio stations specializing in playing 80's cheese. In the Nineties only Confide In Me and Where The Wild Roses Grow (which is a Nick Cave record) stand alone as classic pop songs. And from the post-2000 material only Can't Get You Out Of My Head, a true clasisc, will be remembered.

Why should Kylie's success make her immune to criticism? This is a discussion site, not an awards gala. You're perfectly entitled to love Kylie, but I don't have to force myself to like her just because she has been around for 16 years.

As for not listening to Kylie. I would love to not listen to her. But it's only noon and I've already heard Red Blooded Woman twice today. (And before you say anything: this proves that Kylie is successful, even when she releases something that even most of her fans dislike. But it's still a bad song)

Still as I always say, each to their own - you don't think Kylie has any outstanding songs (you are funny), well good for you. Enjoy not listening to her, and cheers - enjoy your 2 member fan club...
what a performance tonight, should I react or turn off the light ?

and are we a team, Steve

Anyways RBW is top 5 and BL shoots back to #41 ! Hmmm...I have no idea why they left out Cruise Control from the album, instead of that tepid After dark, the one big blot on BL :x and released that instead of RBW

oooh yes Shopper ! Kylie haters vs. Kylie lovers (somehow I think we would have just a few million more at out table !!) :D

good to see this is another top 5 hit for Kylie, so that makes it - 38 top 20 singles so far ? not bad for someone who has "no good songs"

now, hopefully the 3rd release will be either "Secret (take you home)" or "Chocolate". Fully agree with "Cruise Control" being on the album rather than "After Dark" or even "I feel for you".

bTW, did you get your friends to get "State of mind" or "Love at first sight" for you here in Oz yet ? Let me know...

I Feel for you is actually quite quirky. Wierd but interesting! I think they should release Chocolate or Sweet Music next, Still Standing is total dancefloor mahem...but since she's been putting risky singles out, as well continue the trend ?!

Too bad about RBW's timing, am sure if it were released this week it would have been a top 3 !

Well my friends have been busy with their work so not sure if they managed to get the singles. I'll update you on the same sometime later. Thanks :D Actually I'd prefer if they got the PopArt DVD

I wasn't aware there was a Kylie vs Madonna thing going on... I do know that both of them suck for a fact

I still feel bad of having one cd of each of them - had to buy Kylie cos I collect PBS, had to buy Madonna cos I (somewhat) collect James Bond. :?
