as far as redsock only against the kind of religion that speaks of things like young earth,its hard to believe that, since even though I dont believe in young earth... on the otherhand I do believe ...say...Jesus walked thru a wooden door as the account says. I'm sure scientifically thats also demonstratively considered wrong, so I doubt redsock would accept any part of teaching religion.

Yup, you're right, I wouldn't accept any form of the teaching of religion, but that's besides the point and a discussion for another day.

What really gets me, and I suppose you in a sense, as I will explain, if the teaching of religion as scientific fact as demonstrated by that website and museum. It is clearly ludicrous in all it's statements and the presentation of the facts.
At the end of the day hogwash like that just gives ALL religious teachings a bad name regardless of whether they actually have something interesting to say or have a valid point of view on a subject, and on that point I'm sure you would have to agree ?

Please don't think I'm taking a condescending tone here because I'm not, but I too admire your taciturn defence of what you believe. You've at least given some thought to the indoctrination you received as you were growing up, and are happy with what you have come up with, and that's great if it that's what rocks your boat.


It's the religious zealots that refuse to partake in any form of discussion or dialogue and refuse to even consider other points of view, that we should all really worry about ....

in christianity,extreme fundamentalism is always a problem just like any religion. on the one hand on the end of the scale you have those who believe things such as dinosaurs being on the ark and then on the far other ........you have the people who target abortion doctors.

I can tell you as someone who first went to a catholic grade school when I was a kid that I seem to remember the teachings were all very general. everything was all very bare bones.jesus son of God, died for our sins. there was nothing I recall about evolution or creationism in as much as they talked about adam and eve and the account with the talking snake.

overall,theres nothing I worry about indoctination wise for my child, its all very watered down here in the mainstream.people like me just go on about our lives doing just fine even though we do believe in alot of things I'm sure some find ridiculous. I know how they sound.we have an issue with fundamemtalism like other cultures do.

Fact is that people refuse to even discuss Young Earth because ridiculing it the easiest way to obfuscate the lack of evidence in favor of an atheistic, evolutionary approach. God forbid there was any evidence of God! Cos then people would have to put God's word above their own rules such as abortion and other sins. It's as simple as that. I used to be a hardcore atheist. I know how people on the other side tick.

Pure comedy. There is an absolute mountain of evidence in favour of evolution, as well you must know. Contrast this with creationism for which there is zilch, zip, nada.

Essentially, the claim you're making is that God put all that evidence, fossils and things, in the Earth to trick us. Little wonder then that moderate and mainstream Christians who aren't swivel-eyed lunatics tend to view creationists as dangerous heretics.

My advice to you is to seek medical help now. It might not be too late.
