As I have previously intimated, because of the West Lothian question. Ditto the Taffs and the Brits in Ireland.skyhigh wrote:Why you so worried about the 'Jocks' ?

So Scotland has only one Tory M.P. yet we are to be run (into the ground?) by a Tory government again?

Yes, because too many blinkered voters with anti-Tory sentiment voted Labour, instead of SNP - the only party who would give Scotland the opportunity to decide who governs it. I laugh when Scots complain about the idea of being governed by the Tories, because there is such an easy way out.skyhigh wrote:So Scotland has only one Tory M.P. yet we are to be run (into the ground?) by a Tory government again?
You can either vote Labour with the risk of England predominantly voting Tory and, therefore, returning a Tory government for the UK.
OR
You can actually vote like you care about Scotland, and vote SNP, giving them a mandate to push for greater concessions for Scotland, without going down the independence road.
As for there only being one Tory MP in Scotland, well i'll quite happily take 1/17,457th of the blame.

I dont think the people of Scotland's anti-tory sentiment is blinkered. There's enough happened to be able to understand it and even the Scottish members of Thatchers cabinet would agree. The Tory party in Scotland is working hard to alter these perceptions though and much of it is good stuff but it's not helped by Camerons feeling that Scotland draws too much from the purse. I watched and enjoyed the programme the other night there on 'why the scots didnt vote tory' with Sally Magnusson. It was an interesting look at the history of the party up here. What we must appreciate though is that England is now up in arms at the thought of something that Scotland had to accept as common place for many years.

David Cameron will age a decade in the next year. (A bit like Neil between It's Alright and Behaviour!)
Prick up your ears.

Why not become facist then, get rid of them, keep yourself pure?In 1974 they actually won the election though. Now a bunch of Jocks, illegal immigrants and proles on benefit will be stealing the election from the English people.
I guess the blacks stole the election from McCain as well.
And tryin' to figure out what happened to 'Germaine Propaine'
