The story is that a war crimes trial is only important news if an overpaid clothes horse turns up to give testimony there.Pani wrote:To be honest, I don't understand the story at all ...

The Liberian Girl video really is ridiculous. Poor Michael, a child trapped in a late 1980s PCP flashback.

Re: Naomi Campbell
Naomi actually cracks me up. She's so monumentally, operatically and comically what experts call a stupid bitch, it's dire and funny. Self-awareness and Naomi have never met.
I also love that crazy Mia Farrow is the one who dropped the dime on Naomi, without a second thought. I appreciate Mia Farrow, but she's sort of fanatical about her causes, she had no problem blabbing about Naomi's "dirty stones". She really didn't think twice, and that's awesome.
(Mia's son is f*** gorgeous by the way . No way he's Woody's biological son. Was a freakish child prodigy, now sort of a humanitarian freak killjoy along with Mia. I mean, you don't want to always hear about Darfur when you're getting your drank on. He has the same sort of relentless intensity on humanitarian issues. But he is seriously beautiful.)

She said in court she gave the "dirty stones" to a South African charity but they have no knowledge of this.

Re: Naomi Campbell
That's interesting. So why went they handed in ?
At least they have got evidence against Charles Taylor.
I am all for seeing criminal leaders brought to justice.

Sean - I love your taste - in everything!! So I HAD to see for myself!
I found some very lovely pics, and sadly, a whole heap of bitching by a bitches and bitchers! Out of all the bitchy tripe below, there are a few interesting facts about the guy.
And I think you're right, again. This bloke is *BEAUTIFUL*. Inside, and out, it would seem.

They're on MSNBC right now. He's incredibly well spoken for however old he is. They're talking about UNICEF and he's wildly wordly and savvy and earnest and, I'm sure, good hearted....but man.....he gives me the heebiejeebies.

Is he Woody's son?

Does he want to use UNICEF for evil purposes?

Oh, does that have something to do with why you're creeped out?

Mia Farrow has a puppet face.

Ah, so that's what happened to Maxwell Demon.

That pic -- though well creepy -- doesn't do his inherent creepiness justice.

He looks like Kim Basinger.

He looks like he was photoshopped into that picture.

He also comes across as incredibly pious, righteous and sincere, as if he's undergone a severe humorectomy.

I don't think he'd do well in prison.
― Nancy Zerg, Saturday, 14 May 2005 04:43 (5 years ago) Permalink
That depends on your definition of "well".

he has nice lips. hmm how old did you say he was?
― phil-two (phil-two), Saturday, 14 May 2005 04:57 (5 years ago) Permalink
He is Woody Allen's son! I know about it because I read Mia Farrow's autobio. You should read that if you're interested, it's really much, much more revealing than you'd expect. I wanted to know everything and I kind of found out more than I even wanted to know. I would repeat all the things I thought were interesting here but that would feel strange.
But Woody Allen is completely estranged from him.
― m.., Saturday, 14 May 2005 05:29 (5 years ago) Permalink
Is he the child whose name Mia changed from Satchell?
― Alex in NYC (vassifer), Saturday, 14 May 2005 05:31 (5 years ago) Permalink
He looks like Kim Basinger.
I was thinking Scarlett Johansson
― ()ops (()()ps), Saturday, 14 May 2005 05:33 (5 years ago) Permalink
He doesn't look half as creepy as Mia.
― Casuistry (Chris P), Saturday, 14 May 2005 06:02 (5 years ago) Permalink
(And not just because Mia is old. She's always been vaguely creepy. I just watched Zelig again the other night, and she was not as creepy there as in some movies, but still.)

my ex used to know him. She said he was humorless.

oh isn't he s'posed to be very clever, finished high school early and went on to study law at some ivy league college?

christ, this aggressive irish-identity-assertion...like that distances her from woody. the whole idea that names constitute identity is more woodyesque than anything
― ciaran o'shaughnessy, Saturday, 14 May 2005 10:54 (5 years ago) Permalink
yes, because there is no other purpose to Irish names, other than avoiding being taken for a Jew.

Alex you have totally made this kid up! There are no matches on google for "Ronan Seamus Farrow" or even "Ronan Farrow".

Renaming your kids in the narrowest tune to your own lineage when they're what, like 8 years old, just after finding out their father (who had annointed them in his singular way) is screwing your adopted child...you're claiming she had motives other than to distance herself from him?
― siobhan o'malley, Saturday, 14 May 2005 14:09 (5 years ago) Permalink
plus he was named after black US baseball player Satchell Paige! judging from the pic, I doubt "being taken for a Jew" was much of a concern here.

connect the dots people. he's not woody allen's kid.
-child of mia farrow
-strangely well-spoken, mature beyond his years, knowledgeable of word events
-jerky
he's rosemary's baby!!!

Actually Ronan up there in his hermaphroditical way reminds me of nobody more than Mr. B Natural:

Re: Naomi Campbell
He has that quality about him like the tragic mythical Greek-Godlike youths of John Willian Waterhouse's paintings. I think.
