George Michael
Pleased to hear he's releasing new music again. Would prefer it to be an original composition, but never mind. True Faith is a good song, and anyway it's for Comic Relief.

Re: George Michael to cover New Order
Wow! True Faith is a pretty great song, and I'm also glad and heartened that George is getting out of his marijuana stupor to do something, anything, and for a good cause, even better. Looking forward to this. I like George, New Order, and "True Faith", so this is cool to hear, thanks.

Apparently Jonathan Ross and Simon Cowell went to see him after his prison release for an idea they had about a new filmed ITV interview/special. Ross said that George played him a new song which sounded like a smash hit dance track.
I really hope we hear some new music from him before the year is out.

Re: George Michael to cover New Order
Just heard it.
The slow version/lounge concept is brilliant on this song.
But Auto-tune? George Micheal? He's got an amazing natural voice! WTH does he need AUTO-TUNE?!

of course he doesnt need autotune. its not just used to correct vocals. its used alot of time for effect.

Re: George Michael to cover New Order
ok I just heard it on youtube, your right, in this case the use of it ruins what is a gorgeous tune.
what was he thinking? vocally its not even the usual autotune effect, its alot more warped sounding.
still better than the DM one though IMO.

@Glenn: Yep, my bad.. this is not simple auto-tune, but a full-blown vocoder usage..

Well, I listened to it again... Yes, I think he shouldn't use vocoders and fx effects for his voice, his vocal is fantastic without any fx...
The version is very good.
