It was hydrogen explosion.

I would love to go to japan more than anywhere else if I could pick. I love that sort of mixture of ancient with the ultramodern.
I love how they love pushing the envelope technology wise. like they are trying to have the future now.
anyways what happened to them could happen to anyplace. here in the USA we've been waiting on "the big one" in the california area.

Well, I remember how it was in 1986. I was quite young, about 8-9 years old and our government hided the real info about that. They said that there are some not big problems in Ukraine and everything will be fine soon, and people went to Chernobyl to work even know nothing how it was dangerous. Now I hear... everything is normal. It's not normal. I hope it will be fixed.
Japan is our neighbor and of course Russia will help all people who lost their home, I hope.

I've been reading about Belarus. The Chernobyl accident is still a huge problem. Much of the country has extremely high rates of cancer especially in children. They sold food that was grown in the ground affected by fallout after the explosion.

That's unimaginable force. It's not even directly on the coast, either. It looks like a dock or estuary. There were even waves and swells being created.

Just heard today that a former student at my school is missing. She lives near Sendai. Hopefully she is just out of phone contact in a refugee centre somewhere.

My family living in Kochi was temporarily evacuated from their home of tsunami even though very far from Touhoku.
eric was on the 52nd floor that time.
