No.1. Why was his body buried at sea?
I've got to admit I do find the haste with which they've got rid of his body very strange. Okay you don't want him to become the Oscar Wilde of the Arabian Peninsula but still.....
The intelligence that led to bin Laden's demise was generated under the Bush adminisrration and carried forward under Obama according to news reports...this was a true multi- administration effort and all involved deserve credit, especially Mr. Obama for finishing the job.
Bin Laden was buried at sea to keep his grave from becoming a shrine for extremists.
To all those 911 (and Oklahoma City) conspiracy nuts):
1. An inside job of that magnitude would have involved hundreds, if not thousands of people. The US government has a hard time keeping even trivial matters secret--just look at Wikileaks and
2. What US president or agency would purposely carry out an operation where the primary consequence is the tanking of the entire economy? These people are politicians who want to get reelected after all, hard to do when citizens are struggling.
There probably are photo's that will come out at some point.
I don't see the point of celebrating it but the world is certainly a better place without such scum. And of course he had to be in Pakistan, typical really.
Absolutely all Russian media are surprised by the reaction of the U.S. citizens...
I read the biggest internet portals like Yandex, Rambler, RBK. All of them say that to celebrate the DEATH is the wildest thing.
You can not CELEBRATE the death.
This is what one of the biggest radio stations say:
News of the planetary size. Killed Osama bin Laden, a kind of modern Salah al-Din - the leader of the struggle of radical Islam against Western civilization. Enemy number 1 of the United States killed just by U.S. intelligence agencies in the suburb of the Pakistani capital of Islamabad.
In Washington, at their White House, thousands of Americans with a wild delight, celebrating the killing of the enemy, as a very under-developed nation. The people they still wild. Killing enemies is better to take with calm dignity. Allow myself to compare: the current wildly reaction of the Americans and the reaction of Russian society to the death of Shamil Basayev. No joy did not dance around the Kremlin.
With all the odious figures Bin Laden to the Americans and Europeans about it, there are different opinions.
